As a Certified MedTech I have expertise in serving chronically ill patients by assisting them with Medication management, daily living activities and general household tasks, grooming and bathing assistance, house hold tasks, feeding assistance, I also have 1yr 8 month in healthcare Administration .As my resume states I have worked in the field and the skills that I gained are compassion, time management, effectiveness, patient focus, and provide reassurance to the client that I am willing and capable to assist and provide the most effective care and support.

Currently, I'm in my clinical years working toward a degree in Medicine. I'm doing clinical rotations in Chicago. I started doing home health work due to the fact that it's a form of geriatric medicine. Having chosen the field of medicine means, I need to have compassion for people in need of support for their health. Since the home health work is flexible, in terms of shifts, I feel it is an ideal field I could contribute to society and also make a living to be able to pay my basic bills, such as rent and utilities. Until I started medical education, I worked at the New York City Department of Health for over 8 years as public health epidemiologist. I am available to work from Friday evenings to Sunday evenings.

I became a caregiver in 1989 when i became a CNA and once my mother became ill in that same year. She had a stroke and could no longer do for herself. There were times when I had to give her an enema along with personal hygiene care. Prepared meals, cleaned home, took my mom shopping, out to eat occasionally. I find it rewarding to care for someone and making them happy and feel wanted. I cherish making someone feel special because they are. My personal achievement that I am most proud of was to be able to do this for my mom. What makes me proud is making someone else life worth living.
