I love giving. I am an empath and elderly people tend to steal my heart. Caring for my own grandmother gave me a sense of purpose and strength. Knowing I have the ability to improve someone's quality of life is a good feeling. I completed a degree in English and love writing and creative arts.

I have a Batchelor's Degree in Psychology an I am currently studying to become a Registered Nurse. I have been a Nurse Assistance since 1995. My passion is working with the elderly and the developmentally challenged.

I am a fourth year teacher working in a Self-Contained Autism classroom. I have previously worked as a special needs service provider for 3 years. I have provided Respite and In-Home Skill Building care for teens and preteens with Autism. During my student teaching experience, I worked with high school students with both physical and intellectual disabilities. This gave me experience in assisting with mobility limitations including bathroom and dressing assistance, as well as g-tube feeding. I am CPR certified.

I love helping my elders and that's why I do what I do. I helped with my grandparents and absolutely loved it. I love hearing the stories and being there helping them through their life journey.

I found my love of caregiving when I got my first job at the age of 16. I got a job as a dining associate in a retirement home and ended up working there for almost 5 years. I had such a wonderful time building relationships with all of the residents and making their meals as enjoyable as I could. Since then I have tried to work with people as much as possible. I volunteer at Hospice to provide companionship to individuals at the end of their lives and I currently work in a group home with I/DD individuals as well. I love doing what I can to take care of people and make them as happy as I can and I got a degree in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology so that I can continue to do that for the rest of my life. I plan on pursuing a degree in Counseling so that I have more expertise that I can use to improve the lives of those I work with. I enjoy working with seniors specifically because I am fairly young and think that relationships between generations are so important and special.

As a child growing up I always liked the thought to care for others.The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I not only doing a good job but I choose a great career goal. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. To me it is important to laugh and if I can make someone laugh at least one time during the day I know that I am doing my job.

I have been a stay-at-home dad for the last couple of years. I am married and have a 13 y/o daughter that is my everything! We also love our animals! My elderly parents have some health issues that I help with whenever needed but have extra time to help others.
