My name is Yassah Pewee, was born in West Africa Liberia. I came to the United States at the age of 14. I have always been a caregiver in a sense that I love taking care of people. Grew up with two nurses and always knew that medical career was my passion. Currently doing my BA in Health Science at Bellevue University. I became a caregiver for my great grandmother who needed home care 17 years ago. I love caring for others. I am proud to have my Psych Tech Level 3, Medical Assistant, CNA, CPI and CPR certifications. I have specialized in Dementia care for over 6 years. I work a full time medical job, however, I still dedicate my days off to working with a few select families who need, assistance, advice, and support, when caring for a loved one at home.

I have always been a helper because I love helping. After I emigrated to the United States, I made the decision to go from education to senior care. I chose senior care because I felt like I understand seniors since my family had individuals who live to a very old age. I am very, very proud of all my achievements. Until 1992, I did not exist officially because I was not registered at birth, and I was born at home. Up until then I did not have formal education fast forward to 2014, and I can show a graduate degree after having gone to some very prestigious colleges between Jamaica West Indies and the United States. I am very humble, very tolerant, very proud of my heritage, and most of all I believe my purpose is to serve.

1) I'm kind and always considerate of others. I understand the importance of being able to meet people where they're at. That makes me a good caregiver. 2) I was attracted to caregiving at an early age, after caring for my great grandmother. 3) I'm enjoy being able to make a difference in the lives of people. 4) Mastering some of my grandmother's favorite recipes. Also, getting my Master's degree.

I became a caregiver because I want to make a difference in the lives of the elderly. I care about their overall health and quality of life. My work experiences, range from care giving of children and the elderly to handling every aspect of a business office. Clients I have provided care to have often commented on my upbeat and helpful attitude. They say I am a great teacher and very patient. Also, I was recognized by my elder care supervisor for going above and beyond my job responsibilities, dependability, excellence in detailed tasks and creative problem solving. I truly enjoy helping people: educating, caring for, relieving their concerns, making them comfortable and bringing out their smile and renewed confidence. This passion is reflected in my performance and contributes greatly to my success as well as the quality of care received by my patients. Using my abilities to further the mental and overall health of others gives me great satisfaction. I love singing, doing crafts & art, traveling, the outdoors, exercise, helping others, trying new things and getting to know people.

I have been working in the medical field for 17 years now. I have extensive experience In-Home Care, Health Care, hospital care and hospice care. My experience have kept me in this field with exceptional references to back my experience in this field.

I am a dedicated team player in the workplace, and a loving mother at home. I would be a great caregiver because I have worked years several years in customer service, and understand how to read people and emphasis. Those qualities along with my CNA and CDA training make me the perfect fit for this profession. What I enjoy most about caring for others is the difference it makes in someone else's life. The feel you get when you know you've just made someone's day just by showing them the love you would your own family in the absence of their own, is priceless.

I have a passion for helping others. I have worked in the medical feild since 2005. I have a full time job now just looking for some extra spend cash. I have one daughter who is 13 and my pride and joy.

I became a caregiver when both of my grandparents needed extra help with ADL's and my mother could no longer assist them due to physical ailments that she was experiencing. Later on, it was my mother and father who needed my caregiving for the same assistance. Being a caregiver is my passion. I know, when I leave for the day that my friend is well taken care of and happy because they realize that I will be back tomorrow to be there for them. Over the 30 years that I have been a caregiver, I did obtain my certified nurses assistant license as well as a 40 hour medication aide license and an assisted living administrators license; all remain current. I am a "young " 52 year old woman with two grown children, a son & daughter, both of whom I am very proud.

I have over 7 years experience providing services to seniors and people who are unable to help themselves with ADL, my joy is always to see my clients live google like while maintaining their independence and respecting their privacy.

Paulette E. Greene Since moving to the United States I have looked for an area in helping where I can serve. My passion has always been helping and I have been searching for a position where I can serve my community. I started in helping at Reddie’s Place of Safety in Jamaica. This was special housing provided by the Government of Jamaica for disadvantaged children. Realizing that I could help more as well as relate, I went to Mico University College where I got my first formal training in Human Service as a School Counselor. After emigrating to the United States I decided to change course and work with seniors , I started out working as a certified home health aide because I wanted to understand from the client’s perspective, and I felt I would understand how best to serve if I served in the client’s home. I then went on to equip myself educationally by acquiring a bachelor’s of science degree in Human Service (behavioral science) and a graduate degree in Applied Gerontology that covers many areas in aging and the family as well as death
