I am a natural nurturing person. I I decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor. I had a grandmother that suffered from Alzheimer's disease for 13 years. Majority of the time that she was sick I cared for her. I always knew I needed to get into the health field because I saw how important it is to have a support system. When you have someone in your family who can no longer take care of themselves it seems to have a ripple effect with everyone surrounding them. At some point we could no longer take care of my grandmother in the house so we had to hire a home health aide and in doing so I really grew to appreciate the nature of the job. You become an extended family member you grow great bonds with your clients or patients and their familes. I love being an aide.

My clients calls me (Q) they can't remember my long name. When I first started this job I was taking care of my grandmother, I took great care of her and was very good at it. She got me into school so I can get paid for what I love to do. I treat each client as if they was my own family. I love the work I put out it really makes a difference in they lives.
