I am a very compassionate and patient woman. i raised two lovely and successful daughters who are wives and mothers. I had a very sick husband for whom I took great care..until his passing at 57 1/2 years old in 2011. The women for whom I have worked have all loved me, like "a daughter," they've said. I was a volunteer for the Lighthouse for the Blind, and was sent to my first volunteer job for a women recently diagnosed with the WET macular degeneration. She was depressed and very anxious, and totally lost, having had made a very active life for herself, until she lost her vision. What started as a volunteer position became a paying job... Of course, helping people gives me a sense of purpose, and fulfilment....

What attracted me to this position is I had a sister who had cerebral palsy and I accompanied her to camp and her daily activities. I also became a caregiver to several clients where I was able to care for their daily activities. My personal achievement is one of my clients was always hospitalized but being positive and administering daily activities allowing her to do what she can do, she had less hospitalizations.
