what helps me be a great caregiver is getting to know my client and build an relationship with them I look at all my clients as if they were related to me in some sort of way and I treat them how I would treat my mom,grandma,father grandfather etc..... Hello, my name is Katelin. I have worked in the caregiving field for 8 years. I have experience working with people of all ages, with many different illnesses, injuries and disorders. I became a caregiver right out of high school, after volunteering with the special education class for two years in school. I loved the atmosphere of it, so I decided to make a career out of it, and am now going into the nursing field. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is having the ability to make improvements in another persons life, even if it is something small. I have been an RN for many years. During that time I have been a personal caregiver, a sitter , a medication administrator, and an instructor. I have a passion working with the elderly population. Caring for another individual is something I always had a passionate with I love caring for others, I have a kind heart. I started being an caregiver once my grandma became sick in 2012 and she couldn't do what she was able to before she got sicker and I loved going over there just so I was able to help her and encouraged her into doing things. The most joyful part about it is getting to know each individual and building a bond. Becoming a caregiver and actually like doing what I do and will further my career in this field.

I love working with the elderly giving all my love compassionate and patience as I would want some one to do when I reach that age.
