I've been in the home care field for 2 years now, and find it very rewarding. I'm very patient, have an immense amount of empathy when dealing with clients -which is a must in this line of work. I know I would want myself or my loved ones to be treated with the utmost care.. which is what drives me to provide outstanding care to my clients. My grandmother has dementia, I help care for her sometimes - so I know firsthand of what it entails. Home care was a different field of work for me, but I was curious to see what it was like. I didn't know what to expect, but surprisingly I really enjoyed it. The most rewarding part of my job is developing long lasting friendships with not only my clients, but their families as well. It's hard for me to not become invested in the people that I work for. :)

Blessed Day: I have always done my best to lend a helping hand to everything, stray cats/dogs, the homeless, disadvantaged, chronically ill, pan handlers, elderly, disabled and more. My background is as a Social Worker where I served in an administrative capacity to managing group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities/mental health. Prior to earning my degree, I worked in a long term care facility as a nurses aide and with an agency as a Rehabilitation Aide and Recreational Assistant. I am naturally optimistic and have a positive outlook on life. The most important aspect of life for me is how I approach each day. I strive to make positive deposits in everyone's path I cross, be it with a smile, good morning or stay safe! It costs nothing to be pleasant and you never know how a kind gesture can save a life.

I am a Certified Nursing Assistant with three years which include home health, sub-Acute, and long-term care. I am a second year Occupational Therapy student and I have a year experience working as a Rehab Tech. I identify as a Christian and those close to me say I am a very compassionate, problem-solving oriented, reliable and enthusiastic person. I am proactive in listening and suggesting solutions to the person I am caring for. I live as a Christian, that means I live by the teachings of compassion, humility, and honesty. I am personally invested helping others and I bring happiness to make sure a person is well taken care of regardless being outside of paying hours. My faith and personality are the reason I decided to become a care giver. I have a very close relationship with my grandparents and I was a live in care giver for two year. I am familiar with generational gap bonding. I enjoy getting to know a person and I make a great companion so I have been told. I have accumulated a lot of knowledge with my time with my grandparents. I am very familiar with a very variety of different card games and good books. In long term care, I have lead activity group in the past with those struggling to connect with dementia. I understand the importance of following a set routine especially for those with dementia. In home health, I have a 2016 RAV 4 hybrid and clean driving record. I enjoyed getting to know a person on a one-one basis. I have a and big trunk for where ever the days adventure takes us! I have an excellent track record of keeping to an organized way of life and very hand with house projects. I have worked in the cooperate nursing care but it's quite broken because it's about money. My compassion, kindness and big heart are some personal traits that are a great asset to being a caregiver. My passion and need to help others' attracted me to being a caregiver. The things I enjoy most about being a caregiver are: sharing my compassion and big heart to those in need. I started off in home care, worked in a nursing home for a short while but I missed working one on one with individual's. I then decided to further my experience and work with people with special needs while taking care of my sick grandmother. I have experience in many different diagnosis. I have 10 + years of experience in working with children of all ages to adults and elderly individuals, as well as those with disabilities, dementia and those in end of life stages . I have experience staffing houses with aides, handling all the scheduling, hiring and firing, payroll and all that includes running a house that cares for an elderly individual. I have a love for working with people and providing care as I watched my mother growing up as a Social worker for Hospice.
