Hi everyone! My name is Barbra and a mother of 3 amazing girls! I have tons of experience in child care. I have worked as a nanny for the past 6 years and absolutely love the wonderful families I have met, and the children I truly have adopted in my heart along the way. It's been beyond rewarding and fulfilling for me. I started out as a very young girl caregiving for my Nephew who had a terminal illness. I believe that having had a brother with cancer, and caring for my mother after my father passed away with diabetes and heart issues ihas lead me on a path that I have the most compassion and patience for a child, an elderly person or anyone with a illness. There is nothing more rewarding than coming home at the end of the day knowing you helped someone in need or seeing a child so happy to see your face at the beginning of the day! I truly love what I do! If you consider me, please know you will get a person that gives her "all" to you or your family. I'm the most honest, loyal and punctual person ever! I'm very easy to communicate with, don't take things personally, and love to laugh!

I have always had a passion to help people. I originally wanted to be a nurse but changed my mind when I dropped Chemistry. This is a requiste course for nursing. But I still have the strong inclination to help others. About six years ago I had breast cancer. I was very fortunate, it was a very small, stage one lump, and the dr. removed it. I knew that I was not well informed about Cancer, so I joined Bosom Buddies. I have contributed and profited greatly by helping others. We have frequent events with speakers on Cancer. I answer the Bosom Buddy Hot Line twice a month. I have been a Legal Secretary for 15 years and my finger prints are on file. I took the TB test, negative. I have CPR, First Aide and AED certification. I love animals and have one cat and did have Collies. Hobbies: Bowling, Bridge, swimming and reading. Please do not think that if I take a Caregivers position with you or your loved one, that I will desert you if I get a real estate assignment. My primary interest is listing a home. It is not with working with buyers. When you list a home for sale, this is when our reduced commission takes place, the commission is only $990 if the Buyer for the home looks with the seller. I plan to write contracts and/or meet with the seller on the weekend or at night. It will not interrupt a caretaking job. If you have any questions about this, please just be direct and ask me.

I am an experienced occupational therapist with a background in caregiving. While returning to school as a career changer in my 30s , I worked as a caregiver for a client with severe rheumatoid arthritis, and another with dementia and Parkinson's Disease. I especially enjoyed finding creative ways to redirect my patient with dementia while supporting optimal physical exercise, hydration and PO intake. The family of my patient said she was most hydrated and exercised during my care, and they used me as the standard for the other caregivers. I provided such great care for my client that the family retained my services even after I graduated with my masters degree in occupational therapy! They increased my pay which was nice, but the trust they had in me was such an inspiration. The family would travel out of state and leave their mom in my care. I took care of that client until she passed away years later. Being a practicing occupational therapist will be a great benefit for the clients I get to work with, because I will certainly bring more than the basic caregiving skills to the job. As an OT, I currently conduct CNA competency training at my facility. I look forward to providing my expertise to family members and other relevant persons in order enhance the care of my patients.

I believe providing in-home care is fundamental to the emotional, mental and physical well-being of older persons and that this care is also essential in easing the minds of family members who have taken on the responsibility of over-seeing the welfare of an elderly family member. I believe in creating a positive, caring and safe environment in which an older person can thrive as well as feel appreciated, regarded and important while maintaining the highest level of independence and self-reliance as possible.

Hi! My name is Caroline, I am 25 years old and I am currently working on my nursing degree. I have a previous bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I know how important nutrition is for healing and overall health . I am fueled by my passion for helping others and helping people get back on their feet. I like to focus on what my clients strengths are and how we can overcome or make obstacles easier together. I am a strong advocate for the people I work with and give them the educational tools, companionships, and motivation, to live a happy, healthy and maintainable life.

I am attracted to being a caregiver because I want to help people. On a big or small scale making a positive impact on someone's life gives me pride and joy. I enjoy taking care of people as I have ten siblings whom I helped raise with my mother. I am proud of my schooling and the direction it will take me in. I am a psychology major with a Disability Studies minor and I am hoping to do advocacy work in the future for the disabled community across all ages and backgrounds!
