I began providing elder care when a close friend moved her mother to the area and needed help with her daily care, due to her diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Since I was a child, I enjoyed being around the grandmothers. Listening to their stories was a very comforting and enjoyable time for me. I love continued learning and sharing, and helping to make others feel loved and cared about is important to me! I feel so fortunate to have made a positive impact in several elders lives. as a teen ager, i helped take care of my grandmother, who lived with us. she had parkinson disease fir 8 years. learning care giving skills very young inculcated in me compassion, focus, and listening skills. it is one of my life's proudest achievements. what i enjoy most about my job is making sure my clients have quality of life and interaction as well as giving families peace of mind that their loved one is well taken care of .

I am very patient when it comes to anything in life but especially when it comes to taking care of others. I love to see people thrive in life and I feel like that is one trait that will never go away. My family has been very influential in taking care of others whether that is making sure loved ones get to appointments on time, making sure they have enough food, or just sitting with them and talking to them. While raised by my grandmother we would go visit her aunt in nursing home and an incident there caused me to attend nurse training in Chicago my home town taking an 6 or 7week training back in 1991.
