I first started with caregiving for my dad 17 years ago when he was diagnosed with heart failure. After caring for him, I realized it is my passion to be there for others and give them care when it is needed most. It is a rewarding feeling for me. Since then, I have been providing care for others and truly enjoy it. I have been fortunate to meet wonderful people and always look forward to continue doing what I love.

I am a very caring person. I have compassion for our fellow man. I have patience for anyone. I enjoy people, so this type of job is good for me. I do have to add I am very temporary. I love being a caregiver, because I get the opportunity to help people improve their lives and live life to the fullest everyday. I decided to be a caregiver after my grandma started suffering from dementia. She needed one, but we didn't want to bring someone in from the outside so I decides to take the reigns on that. Being able to spend everyday with her and make her life better and more enjoyable has truly been a blessing. I have a passion for health and fitness and I hope to one day become a physical therapist, but while i'm studying, I still want to help people in any way I can.

I have been a CNA for 4 years and a caregiver for 9 years . I worked for hospice for a year . I also have worked home health and memory care off and on for 4 years . I love helping ones in need or just to be a companion .

I haven't always known what I want to do with my life. I started my professional career working for the IRS after getting my degree in accounting and then went on to work as a logistics manager in the corporate business world. It wasn't until my great-grandmother required long term elder care that I realized my passion for helping others. After giving notice at my job, I decided to pursue a degree in nursing, knowing that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others. I finished my pre-requisites in the Summer of 2016 with a 4.0 grade point average. Since my career change, I have spent my time working as a CNA in two long term care facilities- Willamette View and Friendsview - to gain as much knowledge and skill as possible while pursing my degree. Currently, I work at Friendsview as a CNA in the health center. I have had the opportunity to serve on the Falls Committee, go to LiveWell training and learn how to dispense medication. I also enjoy being the lead trainer in our onboarding department, educating new caregivers on how to succeed in the job. I started my first term at Clackamas Community College in September of 2017, which happened to coincide with the birth of my son Miles who was born on September 27th! This is our first child and has been a huge life change - but a welcome life change. Right now, with work, school and life - I have the opportunity to discover where my strengths lie. The multi-tasking of these three areas has been difficult but I've learned how to stay organized and prioritize effectively.

I have run a state licensed daycare facility for ages 6 weeks to 12 years for the past 11 years and still do. I enjoy helping others and I am looking to branch out in other ways. I can help with oral medication reminders, light house keeping, transportation, errands and companionship. At this time, I am available on evenings and weekends.

I am a great caregiver because I really enjoy being with the elderly the stories of their lives, and I just really enjoy helping them. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I do genealogy on my family and hearing about other peoples lives interest me. It also makes me feel good knowing the little things I do can help others so much. I like to cook so having someone enjoy a good meal makes my day.

I'm a mother of four with a very good sense of humor. I became a caregiver when I had my third child, he made me realize how much I enjoyed caring for others. I whole heartedly love making people smile and bettering their day. Life is to short not to laugh and have good company to do it with. History is a big part of my life, so getting first hand stories and experiences make me over joyed. Medicine and providing care is my passion and because of that I am currently a pre-med student at Oregon State University reaching towards a Doctorate in medicine. I am a compassionate person who is extremely patient and therefore, caregiving suits me well. I am able to remain calm under pressure and am always able to lend an ear to whatever may be happening. I am 27 years old. I have two years of experience as a CNA in a nursing home and I have just recently got my license for administering medication, I have a month's experience doing that in a rehab setting. Caregiving is a field that is always changing but stays put in the rudimentary understanding of what it means to help people. Helping people means more than putting a bandage on the wound and sending the client on their way. Being a caregiver means really listening to your client, empathizing with them, and helping them to the best of your abilities. I am someone who can offer than comfort while also providing professional medical care. I know that when I'm your caregiver I will thrive because I truly care about the people I work for. If I can do something meaningful that touches their lives forever, that would be the true purpose of caregiving. Not everyone gets the opportunity to be around people in a very vulnerable time in their lives, and Caregiving provides that privilege. I am someone who is empathetic, patient, and understanding. I love talking and accompanying people to make them feel comfortable. I am very energetic, and truly love getting to know who I am working. I have been a CNA since 2003. I love what I do and I truly care about all my family's I've worked with. I was always interested in the medical field, because I wanted to be able to make a difference in people's life's and being a caregiver has allowed me to be as close and involved hands with caring for people with aging or medical needs. So far in my career I have various certifications, including Alzheimer's care, dementia, wound care, ventilator use, osteomy care, post-op care, diabetes care, TBI care, geriatric, tube feeding, catheter care. I also have most of my college nursing pre requisites completed.

I had the opportunity to become a caregiver in 2012 to a wonderful 90 year old woman, inside her home. She needed help with ADL's, medication management and administration, travel to medical appointments, etc. She became more of a companion than an employer and I enjoyed this work and working with with her very much. I was a liaison between she and her family and eventually hospice when it came to be her time. It was an amazing experience and one I will forever cherish. A little about me. I have spent many years in the healthcare field. Most of my time was spent at Emanuel Hospital where I worked as an ER Technician and Unit Secretary, in the Emergency Room, Neurologic Trauma Inpatient Unit and the Adult Trauma ICU. I aided the physicians and staff in caring for all types of patients, in all aspects of their care. I'm responsible, stable and very confident in my abilities! Fun, healthy and willing to learn new challenges. I have a reliable car and very clean driving record.

I went to BYUI and studied nursing, found a love for caring for others. I find great joy in it, I am compassionate, hardworking, and have the patience and attention to detail that nursing calls for. My first experiences as far as nursing goes is when I did a in home healthcare job for a 2 year old boy who had CP I fell in love with him and his family. I loved the relationship we formed and enjoyed caring for him. He sadly passed away two years later complications with his CP. I have also loved caring for the elderly and every other age group as well, I have lots of experience with Alzheimer's patients as well as other ailments and special needs. I know the importance of routine and schedule and time management. As far a medications and therapies as well as just activities of daily livings; I understand the importance of these things in my patients lives and I see my role as an advocate for my patients as well as just a helping hand in helping them to achieve their tasks.

I started caregiving 17 years ago because I was passionate about helping elderly people be able to stay in their own home, and have more quality of life. I still have the same passion, and hope to continue working with families. I have experience in working with Dementia, Diabetes, and many other ailments that occur in the elderly, as well as performing activities of daily living, such as meal prep, shopping, administer medications, transport to Appointments, light housekeeping, companionship.

I have done caregiving since I was roughly 14 years of age, my mother was a CNA and I absolutely loved what she did, I would come and volunteer to play games with her seniors she was caring for and also serving meals of their likings. I have a happy-go-lucky personality, im passionate about what i do and i love making a difference in somebody's life, even if just for a moment . I have done in home care for 4 years now and have stayed with the same company for 3 of those years. I'm honest and accountable, i am a lead caregiver for comforcare, my current employer.
