I'm a person that sees the glass half fully. I make it my best to remain positive and any given situation. My clients are important to me. I learn a lot from everyone of them. It not about if the job needs me. It's about when my clients need assistance. I want to earn a person's respect. By respecting them as well. It takes team effort. My best achievement is my family. Family is very important to me. And guiding them to be the best they can be has made me proud. No amount of material wealth can do that.

I had been a client care worker for 16 years I'm 37 years old and I started this job so young because I have taken care of my grandparents since I was 15 years old it is very important to me to make them feel comfortable and happy in their elder age as I can .its not fun bathing changing diapers helping transfer into wheelchair helping transfer into bed helping to dress but what really is not fun is this man and this woman who use to be able to do everything for their self who raised children who had jobs and now they have to have someone change their diaper and dress them I know they are embarrassed and they might feel bad so is very important to make them feel loved appreciate and most importantly not a burden I hope that other people understand that we all will get old and you would hope that the person that has to take care of you will respect you and treat you with dignity and not make you feel like a burden I love helping people I love people feeling important and respected my personal achievement is that for the last 11 years I work the night shift but every family of the patients that I took care of knew me by name even though they never seen my face they knew that I took care of their loved ones like they were my own and that makes me feel good to know that family member trust me with their loved one and that I stand out enough to be recognized even though they never personally met me and I think that is a wonderful achievement in this field the most important

Sometimes people just need companionship at certain points of life, I chose to become a care giver because I understand that age doesn't define worth and most older people have a wealth of knowledge and perspective to share. I enjoy talking with people and my experience in Healthcare over the past 7 years has given me an opportunity to be a companion for people who may not have the opportunity to get out and be as social as they once were. Although my experience is usually in a hospital setting I know that people want to feel appreciated and valued. Sometimes our daily lives may not permit us to spend time with our loved ones the way we'd like but, we still want to be there for them and want them to know they're loved. I currently work at Jefferson Hospital and enjoy working in the busy ER, being able to help people at their worse. I need to make more money to travel and eventually go back to school. Taking care of others is something that brings meaning to my life so I decided to make an application on here. I have been a caregiver since a very young age. My grandmother had diabetes and required insulin shots, she taught me how to draw up the insulin how to secure and clean the desired location for the shot and also how to inject the needle, that began my love for the medical field. I have been in the medical field for almost 10 years I began working with seniors and shortly after with pediatric patients in the home setting I have and still am employed with my very first client it has been 9 years of great work experience. I have been back to school to further my education with phlebotomy training, I also am going back for my LPN license very soon.
