My name is Erica Johnson I've been a Cna for 4 years. I became a cna because I like helping people....meeting new people. I'm a people person so I have no problem having a conversation with anyone. I am a 46yr old married mother of 2 adult sons. I have always enjoyed helping people. I have worked with developmentally disabled people to severely mentally I'll people and each individual had so many unique qualities and everyone of them had something to offer in their community. They taught me to be a much more patient,attentive and to be a great listener. Not just to hear but listen and I believe that's so very important for a person to be heard. At the end of the day if I'm able to reflect back on my day and know I've done my very best for my clients and hopefully made their quality of life that much better then I can truely say I had a great day and hopefully positively impacted those I've interacted with on that day.

I love my line a work I take pride in what I do. I always find joy in providing service for someone who can not do things for themselves. I love the smiles that I put on people face I love to wake up every morning and know that I am making a difference in someone life. the proudest moment in my life when I go to work and I get complimented on the great work that I am doing and how my patient don't want nobody else but me because I make them feel comfortable and right at home and I treat them with the upmost respect and give them the best care that I can give. I love being able to help some one and the feeling you get from someone needing your care, touch, attention, and sometimes love is a very special feeling to me. I can come in when some one I feeling very down abut something and the fact that I made them laugh and for get about that problem just for a split second is a very nice. helping them when they are sick and unable to do things. They need to know that it is some good caring people out here in this bad disrespectful world and time we all share. We should always treat people the way you want someone to treat yourself or love ones. That is why I always respect and treat everybody right. Going back to school and furthering my education to receive some kind of education in the medical field, whether it is a certification, diploma, or degree it really doesn't matter you have shown an interest in wanting more for your life. I am a go getter. I have made wrong decisions in the past, but I acknowledge those things and grow and do better and learn from it all. I love working in the medical field. I am currently enrolled in school, I am currently working on my certification as an Phlebotomist. Then I will move on to Hemodialysis. I want to get everything I possibly can abut the medical field. I learn something new everyday. I am a fast learner, everything is interesting to me, I love learning new things and how to do different things. I am a very hard worker and very motivated and dependable.

I am compassionate and caring. I've been a cna sin e 1997 and took a cpl years off to care for my mom while she was dying. I love what I do. I have always worked a lot because I do enjoy it so much. I truly hope when the day comes that I need someone to care for me that they are just as committed as I've always been.

I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients’ lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become intergrated within their lives. A personal achievement I am proud of is achieving my CNA certificate.

In my father's later years he was diagnosed with dementia. Faced with a difficult decision of placing him in a facility or taking on the role of his primary care provider I choose to do it myself having an extensive medical background, degrees and certifications. When my own mothers health was failing I did the same for her. I know the pain of watching loved ones decline in health and the suffering of the family who has to watch it. I pride myself in the love and compassion I was able to give my parents in their end years and it is my mission to give each and every person who needs care in these critical years the same level of professional and emotional care. My goal is to complete my nursing degree, currently I work as a cna at a rehabilitation and long term nursing center. I have worked as a cna and a med tech for various facilities including Alf's, hospice, limited mental health, rehabilitation and long term nursing centers. Also have certificates and extensive training in alzheimers and dementia care Loving professional care is the mission in my life.

I love to help others. I have taken care of my Dad, Mom, and my cousin. I treat people with compassion and respect. My job is not done until I get them comfortable and happy. I like to talk and will care for each individual as my own family. I have a mobility van with a ramp that will seat one wheelchair and three people comfortably, if needed. I have been a medical transcriptionist and had thought of taking nursing classes, but I would rather have time with people, one on one, than sitting behind a desk in front of a computer. It is important to me to be a loving human being in every aspect of my life.

I'm very patient,passionate, comforting and strive to do my best in caring for the elderly. Being a care giver is not just about being there with the person. It's about love,dedication and being on schedule at all times.

I became a caregiver at the age 16yrs old my aunt was bed bond for most of my life couldn't really do anything so I took on the responsibilities to make sure she was well taken care of. She did have a nurse but I felt she didn't do a great job. the things I like about being a caregiver I love to help others that need that extra hand when needed cause I have been around a lot of people in my family that has always need that extra hand. the achievements I am proud of are grad from high school taking great care of my family and friends and always have a open mind to new things. I am free spirit kind of women very outgoing love to help and see others smile. I am a fast learner and can adjust to any and everything.

I love helping and caring for people. I truly believe that this is a calling for me. I have been in the healthcare field for 6 years and I have enjoyed every single moment of it. An achievement that I am proud of would be helping my patients to feel better or at least help them feel comfortable everyday. I am very ambitious, loving, and a very hardworking person. I know I can do anything that I put my mind to and I know I will get very far with the mind frame that I have.
