I have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis and recently obtained my Bachelor's degree in Nursing from National University. I love working as a caregiver, for I am a people person; I get along with most. I have a special place in my heart for the elderly-they have so much to give and have a lot of interesting history in their lives and counting. Hello, I am a mother of five and a grandmother of three. I am 41 years old and currently in school working on finishing my bachelors degree so I can become a case manager for disabled adults. I have many years experience working with disabled children and adults including personal care, hoyer lifts, transfers, feeding, meals, meds, diabetes,etc.I can adapt easily to any situation.

I am a retired school teacher. I am interested in caring for the opposite end of the life spectrum presently and so enjoy working with seniors. I have ten brothers and sisters and keep very busy with my family. I am single with no children.

I became a caregiver because I've always had the desire to be the medical field and because I love being a part something that helps people feel better whether its about themselves or what they're going through. I like that the smallest act of kindness could brighten someone's bad day and as a result add a little brightness to mine as well. I became a care giver in 2009 after graduating Medical Assisting School, I have furthered my education to CNA and LVN, Although, I am waiting for my state certification. I began my career as a caregiver taking care of my brother in law who was dying of cancer. After he passed I came back home and applied for caregiving positions here in San Diego. I find caregiving rewarding because of what I do for a client it allows them to be able to stay in their homes and enjoy their life. Clients thrive if they are allowed to live at home.
