Hello there to all my future loved ones, & Families I would like to thank you for one being able to take time out to find out more about me as a person, my capabilities, skills, experiences, compassion & Love I have when being there for the ones you love. Finding the right person can be bit challenging trust me I understand & get it. As a Caregiver Id like to think exactly what it is and the exact meaning to the word itself. I personally think the word speaks for its self, being able to care for people and give the help, assistance, guidance to those in need. Little background: Fresh out of high school my background career wise was in healthcare/medical. Growing up I would always have a soft spot and always tried to be a help in hand to not just those in need or look like they where in need but especially to all my elders or those older then me. I was always taught to respect my elders and if I see some one needing help then be there and help assist even if some choose not to except that help....a help in hand to people is the best feeling ever knowing your capable to help them. Ive always had the heart, the compassion, the care and love for people in general which to me is a great feeling and something I love and feel good about at the end of the day. I look at it as being able to count my blessings one day if u no what I mean) Believe it or not, I truly look at it as if and thinking that one day I'm going to have to get older as well and may need that same help though and hopefully I would have or get the same kindness from others as well. Being that my background was in the medical field and working at several doctors offices having to work with patients day to day actually guided me into becoming a caregiver because ive always had the love, the compassion, just having the willing to help someone just because, and sometimes just having the patience with them because being able to have patience is EVERYTHING

Heart, compassion, respect, honesty. Training doesn't make you a good caregiver being a good caregiver comes naturally it's unteachable it's something deep inside you. Heart is the number one answer!!

My care giving career actually started as a teenager volunteering in a nursing home. I didn't realize it at the time, but that experience made a big impact. I think the thing that drew me was caring for the people. I think what makes a great caregiver is someone who is empathetic and has the heart for caring for someone else. Someone who wants to make a difference in someone's life. I discovered that there is an art to caregiving. It is something that I have satisfaction from. I have been a professional caregiver for 3 years now. I have worked with a couple of local agencies during that time. I have completed 1 year of nursing school. I am available during the day. I became a caregiver because I enjoy working with elderly, I've been doing it for the last 12yrs. Prior to my grandmother's passing I had helped care for her there at her nursing home, in the hospital and at home. She had dementia, arthritis, incontinence. I would talk with her, read to her, help feed her, comfort/reassured her, just listened to her when she talked about whatever she chose to talk about. Because of her and others I saw alone in nursing home, I want to work with seniors being a caregiver/companion. I also have one month experience caring for 2 disabled adults in a group home.

I was able to care for my Mother for 10 years, help became increasingly hard with asthma COPD emphysema her lungs collapsed 7 * in 2 years. I then cooked all meals cleaned all rooms, laundryed, bathed, picked up prescriptions, appointment along with Oxygen tanjs, gromed. Then worked privately for several non related patients, learning a lift for paralyzed senior citizen woman, then to Home health care co. I believe in giving your best being punctual countable reliable and responsible for one day it would be me I would expect in demand to have the kind of care that all people in that position deserve and need I Am Naturally born a provider.

I love being a care manager because I am very bent about the residents safety.I am a very caring and loving passionate person in my eyes the residents always come first they are my main priority while caring for them.
