I know what it is to care for a loved one with a " terminal disease " ; I saw first hand how some professionals only " do their job" but to us it is personal. Compassion and empathy is needed to be a caregiver. I will do my best to make sure your loved one receives the best care in a clean environment. I retired from the State after working 30 years, of which 23 years I was a State Inspector/Investigator and conducted inspections, licensed & certified the nursing homes/assisted living facilities & adult day cares for the geriatric population. I also investigated allegations of abuse & neglect, resident rights, dignity, quality of care, nursing and nutrition. I advocated for the elderly throughout my time as an inspector and saw each and everyone of them as my own family. It was so sad to see so many elderly being neglected and not taken care of at these places. I took care of my 90 yr old father at home for 3 yrs and made sure he was well cared for until his passing. I have a lot of time on my hands and if I can, I'd like to provide the personal care for anyone in need. I am a very positive and happy person and I love to put a smile on any client I meet. I have so much love to give to these elderly or clients in need because during my professional job that I had, seeing them left alone in a nursing home just broke my heart. I enjoy making them laugh and seeing a smile on their face. I love making them happy on the last years of their life and most of all, prepare them a good home cooked meal because I love to cook! I want to take good care of the clients and treat them with dignity, respect and love because when my day comes, I want to be treated the same with lots of love and tender care

My name is Amy Esquilin and I have been in home health for almost five years. I have learned several skills and I am still learning every single day. I love taking care of the elderly. I feel that elderly need compassion and patience. I love doing different projects with the elderly. I am a fast and sufficient worker. I always try to do my best to make my clients feel comfortable and cared for.

I was born and raised in El Paso and brought up in a bilingual home by my mother who I always saw as the most empowering and courageous individual. She is the reason I chose to give back and assist families in need of a companion. My mother was diagnosed with cancer at an early age and she fought the battle for nearly 15 years and never gave us a reason to feel one day she'd be gone. She taught me everything I know about listening and being supportive when my grandmother needed us the most. In my younger years I began waking up extra early to help my mother with cooking, cleaning and assisting my grandmother in grooming and preparing her favorite oatmeal and watching her favorite shows. Throughout the years I've been grateful to have been able to obtain all of the skills these two women taught me and above all the ability to apply them in my own daily life and with families in need .

My name is yenissis longoria I decided to study nursing assistant because i like the medical field, i have a really nice personality i love to talk to the people.
