I am a retired school teacher. I taught special education students in Texas approximately forty years. I have taken care of my 96 year old mother for the last eight years of my life. I have a great deal of experience with people who face physical, emotional or mental problems.

I first became a caregiver back with my grandparents. After they passed I went to work for the first company. I've been with 3 different companies over the years and private patients. I kept going back to it so I feel this is where God wants me & wants me to do his work! I enjoy visiting with others and giving the family peace of mind that their loved one is being taken care of! I treat others daily the way I'd want to be treated & other families the way I'd want mine treated / taken care of!

One of my family tradition is always to respect the elderly and care for them. Without them we would have not been here today. I like to show them my gratitude with my positive and warm personalities in caring. I lived with senior couple during college and managed to take care of them and their community activities. I actually had friends and family who were already working within the healthcare system well before I had ever given any thought to doing it as an occupation. One day, as I was visiting with my grandfather in his hospital room, I met a guy who was sharing with me that he had a sister a couple floors up from my grandfather, who was literally taking her final breaths, and he expressed how he wished he could grant her last dying wish. I asked what that was, and he said, "to hear the song Amazing Grace sang one last time." Touched by his story, I expressed to him how I would be so honored if I could sing it to her! Without hesitating, he said, "absolutely!" By this time, we are boarding the elevator, heading toward his sister's room. He gathers all the family, and we enter. As I began singing, I noticed a calm, peaceful look on her face as she quietly listened to the words of the song...her favorite song! Needless to say, there wasn't a dry eye in the room (including mine). I visited awhile longer before leaving to return to my grandfather's room. I left there feeling changed somehow. I was humbled by the beauty of life through the eyes of a dying soul! It was at this very moment when I knew that this was my calling --- my purpose in life, and I took off like a rocket, and I never looked back! I have six years experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, but many more years experience as a caregiver and companion prior to becoming certified. I both, enjoy, and love what I do an

I am starting my senior year at Angelo State University, and I am hoping to attend graduate school at ASU or Texas Tech University after obtaining my Bachelor's degree. I am a licensed CNA, I took the certified nurse aide course my senior year of high school. I have been working in caregiving for roughly two years, and I absolutely love it. I love the patients I work with and I love being able to help them. My current job is in memory care, and I have a soft spot for resident's dealing with memory issues (Alzheimer's and dementia). I take my job seriously, as I am an advocate for these patients, some of them cannot speak for themselves so it is my duty to ensure they are getting the care they deserve/need.

Caring for those who need a little extra help in their home has been a part of my life since I was a young girl helping my own great grandmother prepare meals and play dominoes with her clients. Consider me a foster granddaughter willing to respect and listen to the needs of your loved one. Patience and reliability are a guarantee. Hi there! I go by Jenny, I am currently a student at Angelo State University and I would love to help your family with everyday needs! I have previous experience with live-in and live-out private sitting and enjoy the interaction of taking care of those in need and the opportunity to build a relationship with those in my community. I have been a certified nursing assistant, but had to let my certification lapse because I moved out of state.

I have worked 2 summers in an assisted living facility, and loved being able to provide care for residents, and creating close relationships in the process. I am also currently an officer in the Air Force Inactive Reservs, and will be on Active Duty in the Fall. My Love for Jesus is my motivation to be a caregiver.

I am retired from AT&T. I have also done babysitting and enjoy interacting with people. I helped my mother take care of my father for two years. My husband had a job that kept him out of town for months and years at a time. I raised our son mostly alone. I am a sincere and caring person. I am easy going and like to laugh. I think that I would make a good person to help others. I am 63 years old and have one son. He is grown and just moved back to Austin, Texas. I do not drink or smoke!
