Hi! I genuinely care for my patients as if they were my own family members and often think about how one day that could be my family member and at one point was, my grandmother and grandfather. I'm on the younger side of the spectrum being a CNA, 22 years old, but I believe I have learned so much and seen just about everything when it pertains to health care and patient care. I earned my CNA my senior year of high school, and begin working at a nursing facility for about a year and a half. I wanted to broaden my expertise and knowledge so I got a job at a hospital in the intensive care unit, where I'm at now. I've been a CNA in the ICU for over 3 years and everyday I'm learning something new. Something I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping patients and making them smile because I know I have the ability to help and one day, I too will need help. For that reason, it makes me proud and happy to help.

I love the personal interaction and helping people. I am the oldest of eight and have been taking care of others since before I can remember. After that I had three daughters who grew up to not only be beautiful but smart and ambitious! I have been a special needs paraprofessional for over 10 years and even before that I took care of my husband who had numerous health issues. When my youngest daughter moved out in 2010 and then my husband passed in 2013 (after I spent 10 yrs caring for him and over 2 months in Hospice), a major hole in my life appeared. I realized I am a born caretaker and I no longer had anyone to care for. As a special needs paraprofessional, I not only enhanced my prior skills but developed a ton of new ones! I can get along with anyone and I have love and passion for life!

I became interested in being a caregiver when I was doing it for my grandmother it became something that I loved and enjoyed doing. I love helping others and being able to grow with them. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to build relationships and spend time with others and having them forget everything that is currently going on with some company everyday. I am a very patient person when it comes to everything which also makes me a great candidate. I am also bilingual and a student. I have been a caregiver for a little over 5 years now. I started out taking care of my grandmother when I noticed the lack of quality care she was given. I have since then vowed to treat all of my patients as if they were my family member. I have really been blessed to work with such wonderful people that have truly become family. My favorite part of being a caregiver is ultimately seeing a smile on my patients face. Just being able to give them a sense of happiness is the best gift I can get out of this work.

Hello, my name is Rhiannon, but I go by Moe. What helps me be a great caregiver is that I listen and I advocate for those I care for. I love to cook good meals. I am also known to make folks laugh. I am gentle and I allow those I care for to do as much as they can, but I am there always as a stand by. I wanted to become a caregiver after I saw how my grand mother was treated in Hospice. She was taken care of so well. It made me want to make sure that everyone else was taken care of the same. What I enjoy most is having conversation with those I care for,gaining knowledge and wisdom. I also love seeing a smile on their face. A personal achievement I am proud of is completing the American Caregiver Association Certifications. They taught me so much about ethics and what rights the elderly have. It also allows me to expand myself in this field.

Have experience giving insulin injections as my mother suffered congestive heart failure (also diabetic), back in 2006. I took her to the doctor filled out her paperwork (she is illiterate), and took her to pick up meds, Also, she suffers from minor arthritis. Also, have a friend who is in his mid-stages of glaucoma. I drive him around when I can or have picked him up and kept him at home for days at a time. Back in the 1990's and most recently in 2020, I drove a taxicab for over 10 years and transported hundreds of persons with various disabilities and or challenges both physical, and emotional.....I loved them all. Lastly, I have had CPR certifications in the past.

As a salesperson, the customer is most important. This wasn't so much as a task, being that I am a naturally caring person, which is why I'm interested to be a caregiver. I want to reach a new level where I can put my caring heart where it's heavily needed. I am a perfectionist, therefore I am determined to reach full satisfaction of any patient, while doing it carefully. I am willing to be flexible if I'm needed longer or if I need to learn more about who I'm caring for. I have only been a caregiver for pets and babies/toddlers of friends and family, but I hope I am taken into consideration, because I can only imagine the joy it would bring me to help keep someone happy and healthy, for not only themselves, but for their loved ones too.

I am a good listener, I am consistent and friendly! I am drawn to being a caregiver because I enjoy helping and checking in on people. I am proud of my education and continuing my education.

I am a positive person who enjoys to make people laugh. I have with children and adults with special needs for going on 27 years, ages ranging from a few days old to about 85 years old. I enjoy helping others achieve their own goals. This field has taught me a lot. I feel that you can never stop learning from others no matter how long you have been doing something. By being a caregiver I feel empowered to help someone else to be more comfortable with the changes and challenges they are facing. My most recent achievement is obtaining trading for a RBT ( Registered Behavior Therapist).

I think some of my characteristics that make me a good caregiver is that I am a very caring person and I have a lot of patience. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I just have a love for elderly people. I enjoy making my clients day better. A personal achievement I am proud of is going to college.
