I have experience in cooking, cleaning, transporting to appointments or errands, giving meds, restorative therapy, grooming, transferring, etc. I worked in assisted living for a few years and also I trained in hospital. Not everyone has the patience to take care of others. Growing up I seen my mom be a cna for years. I loved how happy she made their day by the smiles she gave them. I wanted to do the same. I also wanted experience in the medical field. I always wanted to be a nurse. So I knew this would be a step in the door. I actually treat patients like family. You become a part of their life! They become my life! I'm a very loving person and a great listener. They need someone not to just do their job but to also listen. . I didn't have the money to take it to a garage for repair, but with the help of the manual I was able to fix it myself.

Every aspect of my life is focused on caring for the elderly. My full time job with Adult Protective Service as a Human Service Technician, I have seen the elderly in abusive situations whether it be physical or mental. My job allows me to come in and assist elderly individuals with issues such as Medicare, Medicaid and or Social Security issues. I transport them to doctor's appointments. In addition I assist with ADL's. I assist with paying bills, purchasing groceries and medications. More importantly I always have time to just talk when needed. I have worked part time with various home health care agencies that assist elderly adults with ADL's. My hope is to assist the elderly without taking away all of their independence.

Hello! I'm Brittany, I'm a passionate caregiver that's been in this profession for the past 13 years. I've learned a lot from working in facilities and doing private duty. I've traveled around the greater Houston area for the past two years working as a private caregiver and have just recently started working in a retirement facility. I was drawn to caregiving at a young age as I was responsible for an ailing grandmother and it brought me great joy to be able to care for her and keep her comfortable with no training so I decided that when I grew up, that's what I wanted to do. I'm very proud of the success I've made working as a caregiver with clients not receiving the care they deserved to allowing me to change that for them. My clients are like family to me, I'll give my best.

I have been a caregiver in some capacity for most of my life. My best memories are with my granny cooking, sewing and gardening. What makes me unique is I truly enjoy helping and taking care of others. It is my goal to provide care as if they were my family member.
