Taking on the Caregiver role isn't something I woke up one day and decided to be. Instead, care giving has been an innate instinctive part of my character. I've always had a tender heart towards anyone in need for as long as I can remember. The internal feeling of giving, helping, others in need is a treasure in itself. There are special challenges Caregivers experience throughout life and with each individual patient. Personally, my biggest challenge and achievement I've encountered is being a patient advocate behind the scenes despite the consequences, and not just in front of the scene with the patient. Being an advocate in my eyes shows leadership skills by standing up for what's legally, morally, and ethically right for everyone's well being; physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Despite this recent achievement costing me my job I've gained in return confidence, professionalism, leadership skills, ability to problem solve and collaborate in a teamwork manner, as well as demonstrate care and respect despite disagreements. Given the circumstances of the situation, an extreme case of cross-contamination to all patients and staff due to my employers (small naturopathic office) refusing to utilize sanitary precautions of any sort, my leave was still on good terms. Due to the medical field highly valuing sanitary precautions I pray my actions are respected and considered of worth. I started being a caregiver when my grandmother health started to turn for the worst .I recivedmy cna in 2009 . I love to help people i grow a clost bound with my residents .im currently trying to enroll in the nursing program i love the the whole idea of nursing the care provied to people the healing process .I also enjoy that im able to give theresident compainship some of them dont have any family to come and visit them and me being able to be threrfor them is a plus

I'm a hair stylist , so making other feel good makes me feel good . I was attracted to being a care giver when my dad passed from Covid in a place where the care givers didn't care as much as I do that others loved ones should be loved and cared for as if they were your own . To be a caregiver is a gift! To care for, assist, be of company with the others loved ones is an honor . I become a caregiver out of my absolute love for ones who are in need. This desire began as a young child seeing my grandparents in and out of hospitals. I just wanted to take care of them . Shorty after becoming a caregiver, my life took a turn as my healthy mother had a stroke that left her paralyzed . Taking care of my mother has been an amazing blessing, gift, treasure! We live in different states and I m still taking care of such like ones while she's is amazing care with her live in caretaker, her son I love to share in memories, conversations.
