Hello,I've been in the home health business for 25yrs. I'm comfortable and familiar with every aspect of care giving . I've never met a stranger a day in my life,I can get along with anyone. I'm a quick study and welcome learning something new everyday.

The process of choosing a caregiver is somewhat challenging so here is some about me : Getting to work with families has become a joy for me - My father was ill and I helped him in the last weeks of his life and found fulfillment in helping him when He couldn't help himself. I enjoy doing daily duties or things for others they can't do for themselves - I am willing to work with schedules , let's meet and see if it's a fit for us both. Thank you

I work 2 years in the nursing home and decided to go to home health when I moved for college. I enjoy being the patients person, when they are felling down and out I want to be the one to give them a reason to smile. Hi, my name is Alisha! I have 5 boys ranging in age from 1 year old to 19 years old. I've spent a lot of time caring for others and it's something I truly enjoy doing! I learn quickly and am eager to please those that I work for! I have been blessed to be a stay at home mom for most of my boys lives and wouldn't change a thing! I am a PRO at organizing and love to do laundry! I love animals, dogs are my favorite. I did have the pleasure to care for my grandmother when she fell ill and I thoroughly enjoyed our extra time together and loved to help her with things she could no longer do herself... I have been a CNA since 2002, but I've done caregiving for more than 20 years. I really enjoy taking care of others. I have always been a caregiver, though it's always been with children, I decided to try a part-time job during the summer taking care of seniors and I absolutely fell in love. I enjoy helping others, becoming part of families, hearing stories of times past, there is just so much seniors can offer and I enjoy learning from them. My grandparents were my world, so many things I love doing I got from them. From gardening, going on adventures, and story time. Since I've switched from children to seniors I've been asked so many times how? How could I switch like that? To me all I did was trade the size. Littles and seniors have so much in common and we have so much to learn from both. I'm an energetic person, I don't sit still very well for too long, but I do understand that quiet\nap time is sometimes necessary. Something I'm very proud of ( other than being a mother and now a grandmother) is making it through college. I attended later in life with my older daughter's while having another daughter in that later part of my life. It's an accomplishment I don't think I could have done without the support of my girls and family. I don't have any direct schooling in caring for seniors but I have years of experience and it's something I'm very passionate about.

I have been a certified nurses aide for about 10 years and my experience mainly includes working in a long term care facility, with some home health and private sitting jobs part time throughout the years. I am also a medication aide and have been certified for 7 years. I'm compassionate about what I do and hard working. I am currently taking prerequisite classes to apply to nursing school next year to get my RN/ADN. I enjoy helping in a private setting because I'm able to spend the one on one time as opposed to in a facility you have to divide your time to ensure your job gets done.

I have been a caregiver/CNA since 2010. I have worked in home health and in nursing homes. I helped my great grandfather when he became wheelchair bound in 2008 until he passed away I. 2016. I also help care for my great grandmother so she can remain home. I find being a caregiver and CNA a very rewarding job. Not only do I get to help someone but I always learn something new from healthcare to US history. Doing jobs like this requires building a relationship with them so they can trust you but feel safe. I am caring, empathetic, and quick to learn. I have been around all ages and have seen & experienced many different disabilities or health conditions. I tend to be a fixer. I know majority of the patients are probably going to be terminal but personally, I believe everyone in life is considered terminal. I look at things as if we aren't going to get out alive, so let's 1. Meet the necessary needs for each patient. 2. Let them enjoy the life they have left here with the people they love & by doing the things they love. I think for the most part when you have a heart that's keen to the caregiving industry, the most enjoyable thing is getting to go home with a fulfilling, "I did good for someone who truthfully needed it" feeling. But most of all, there's no story like an old story. I love to listen to them, to take in as much as I can but making sure I still fulfill my professional expectations while doing so. My heart is kind and ready to help or do everything in my power to keep these patients happy. Being that I am only 24, I don't have a whole lot of personal achievements that I'm beyond ecstatic to share just yet. But I think in this moment, answering this question, my most proud achievement so far is overcoming the life that I chose for myself. Overcoming the toxic family, overcoming my own personal self doubts or self worth. To feel like enough is enough some days & to know I am worthy of this life, to know God has put me here to do his work so He can sit back and watch is an overwhelming, gracious humbleness. I have been a CNA since 1993 and love to hang out with people who need assistance with activities of daily living. I enjoy talking crafting and doing their hair as well as I use to have my cosmetology license . On my own time I enjoy playing frisbee with my fur baby and painting and wood crafting.
