I am a caregiver with more than 18 years of experience with seniors and people with special needs. I provide safe, respectful, loving, skilled care towards every one of my patients. I will deliver peace of mind to family members by keeping their loved ones safe while also protecting their independence and preserving their dignity. I give detailed information and pay close attention to my clients and to the families' needs. I have taken care of many people from family members, friends, and clients in facilities to group home members and privately cared for patients. I became a caregiver because I believe it is in my nature and I am compassionate about helping others. I like being a caregiver because no matter how hard I may work or how my day is going, it doesn't feel like work. I would like to help others by doing what I like. I am a mother of four, very energetic and friendly. I recently left my position full time for a major dialysis company in downtown Baltimore and have been in healthcare for a while and started working for Catholic Charities in May 2017, part time on the weekends. I am hoping to start nursing school fall 2017 and would prefer to work overnight Monday thru Wednesday or Thursday but I have open availability and flexibility with my schedule. My personal achievements that I'm honestly most proud of are my children. I am a Certified Nursing Assitant and Cettified Medication Technician through the Maryland Board of Nursing. I am also CPR and First Aid certified.

I try to aim high with making clients and family comfortable being around. I love laughing and talking. I became a caregiver because I love God's people and serving others. I enjoy my clients being happy with me and the care I give. And for me to see them comfortable around me. The personal achievement I am proud of is when I had the honor and privilege to take care of some of Houston's finest clients. And I was able to be there until the end of their life stage. For as long as I can remember , caring for the elderly was always a priority of mine. It seemed then that kids cared more about their parents when they were young vs today. Someone had to takeover to care for those who were now in their golden age. As a caregiver I am able to exercise kindness, love, patience, my giving nature, nurturing, care and a high level of communication also be a friend. I once had a case where the client was not expected to live more than a month. I met with her and within the first hour with her I realized that she wanted to die because no one cared about her. I immediately started to reverse that by talking to her about everything and everyone she could remember. Showed her love, took her out, for she hadn't been out of the house for quite sometime. I proceeded to exercise my expertise and soon had her cheery and lively. One month came and went. I moved on. I am a loving, caring and nurturing person; honest, reliable, trustworthy, punctual, mature and a driver who has own car. Married with no children and I am 50yrs. old. 5' 5" ins. tall and 135 lbs. weight. Pleasant in appearance and easy to communicate with; very intelligent and creative.
