People say that when you love what you do it shows. Well, it shows in how I care for my clients. I have loved every client; I have ever cared for, that is what makes me a great caregiver. I have a friend that believed that I would be a great caregiver. She hired me; I worked day shifts and learned a lot about care giving with my first client. I believe that care giving chose me, I am thankful it did. I am now a certified home health aide with over 6 years of experience. I am a kind, trustworthy caregiver with a very diverse skill set. I have decided to go back to college to pursue becoming a Registered Nurse. I am currently on the waiting list at Pima Community College. There is so much to love about working with seniors, I enjoy helping people live with quality and dignity. It is important to share my joy and bring brightness to my clients’ everyday lives. When clients have a medical set back or surgery it gives me joy help them regain some or most all of what they lost. That is one of the most rewarding feelings. My clients are wise, I have learned much from them. Each client holds a special place is my heart, I carry them with me wherever I go. I believe "Happy is the home with a full cookie jar.” therefore, I enjoy baking cookies and live life with zest. The reason I became a caregiver, is because I love my job as a caregiver and enjoy spending my time elderly and bringing life back into their lives. What makes me a great care giver. From a young age, I have always loved looking after people and helping in any way I can. My younger sister was born when I was 10 years old. I really enjoyed looking after her and watching her grow that I decided I would also enjoy looking after children when I was older. As I gt older I started looking after my grandparents and it made me realise that patience and understanding go a long way. it takes a lot for an individual to give up control and trust someone to look after them. Being a care giver not only means looking after a vulnerable individual because they are unable to look after themselves. it means caring about their welfare and treating them with dignity and respect the same way you would want to be treated. Understanding this is what makes me good at what I do I became a caregiver because I simply enjoy being there for people when they are no longer able to care for themselves Personal achievement Having had to stop my studies several times due to unforeseen circumstances I could have easily given up. But Wat kept me going was knowing that it may not look possible now but 1 day wen things settled down I would continue to achieve Wat I am passionate about. The fact that I am already so close to finishing what I only dreamt of years ago reason to keep going but a drive to push myself and achieve more.

Loving and enjoy what I do makes my job more rewarding. It gives me great pleasure to be able to help someone that is looking for that great fit for their loving one. I believe in giving the best care that is possible and trying to keep their independence. I will always do my best to give love, empathy and the best care to your love.

I took care of my dad on his later years and i still think i haven't done enough. So i went to caregiving to make sure i do my best to help the elderly like they are my own family. A caregiver role is to be an extension of the person i care that they maybe able to complete their task through me.

Most of my life, I've taken care of children. One family that I was a nanny for offered me a job taking care of their grandmother. They explained everything and I accepted the job. It is such an awarding career. I love taking care of people whether baby or adults. I love being a caregiver because I am able to help the elderly in any way they need it.
