I have always had an interest in the Healthcare field, mostly in Dentalcare. I had previously gone to school for Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene, but stopped to start a family. I am presently married with two boys and live in Mullica Township. My journey in the Home Healthcare Field started about five years ago when we took in my elderly grandmother. She was battling Alzheimer's Disease and was unable to live on her own. She stayed with us for over six months before she eventually had to go into a nursing home. During that time we learned a lot about my grandmother as well as the awful disease that was affecting her. It was after she left us that a friend of mine told me about a Home Healthcare Agency in the area. I started out as a "companion" where I would cook, clean and drive my clients around. I wanted to go further in my career and went back to school to be a CNA. I truly love my job and have become very close with my clients. I like to listen to their stories and feel like I am making a difference in their lives. I am presently working for two Homecare Companies, but would like to work on my own. I have been awarded the GRACE award from one of the agencies. This award is given to a caregiver who exemplifies compassion, caring, empathy, respect, good attitude and going above and beyond the call of duty.

I Have Been A Caregiver For 26yrs.I enjoy helping people especially when they do not have family or just not feeling well.When I could make them smile that lets me know that I am appreciated and I know at the end of the day I made someone feel just a little bit better than the day before..I am reliable,honest and I can get the job done..I attended the Alzheimers walk at the Atlanta Zoo and completed the Alzheimers course.

I became a caregiver after working several years as a back office medical assistant, successfully raising twins, and caring for my parents as they aged and passed. I now find myself with no responsibilities aside from my loving husband of thirty years and our dogs. We re-located to Phoenix, AZ from the beautiful Napa Valley in 1994 to be near our aging parents, bought our second home and been in the same place since My best achievements would be raising two very successful kids, my marriage, homeownership since the age of 19, taking care of my aging family and making sure everyone's needs were met, my greatest accomplishment would be losing 150 lbs and keeping it off since 2007. My hobbies include hiking (I hate the gym, but I go anyway), camping, cooking for my family, my dogs, and spending time with my granddaughter. I have a perfect driving record, fully insured reliable car, can pass a background check and fingerprint clearance. Currently I am working part-time as an in home caregiver for Synergy Homecare here in Phoenix. I am totally reliable and always on time if not early.

Hello, my name is Binturabe Conteh but I go by Bintu. I am a certificatified home health aide. I am a very loving, responsible, caring and passionate person. I decided at the age of 17 to become a HHA because of my grandmother. My grandmother was in Africa when she passed away. Being that she was alone and had nobody by her side, I decided that I would hate for that to happen to someone else. She's my motivation for working in this field. I absolutely love and enjoy what I do for a living and wouldn't trade it for anything. I enjoy meeting new clients. One of my favorite activities to do with my clients is go through photo albums. I enjoy seeing the joy and happiness in their faces just thinking about their childhood.

The reason I am a caregiver, is because I have a tremendous amount of respect for the elderly, I also have witnessed and reported any form of abuse that I witnessed. I have been called the people whisperer due to my patience, care, loyalty and respect that I have for people in general, specifically the elderly. I feel that the elderly have been overlooked for years, so people like myself have to show them that there truly are people that honestly care. Above all I enjoy what I do and will continue to be a personal caregiver for as long as god gives me the strength to the physical part of my job.

The love I have for people and to help as much as I can. I cared for my father at the age of 12 when he was sick. The look on peoples face when they know that someone care about them besides family. The many friends I've made being a caregiver even after case is over ( friendship).

I am 61 years old and was in the mortgage business for 40 years I changed to a caregiver three years ago as I can get the daily rewards every day of doing something special for someone. I have lived for the past three years my mom has Alzheimer's and my dad is her caregiver and takes care of her I'm looking for full-time work with a family that I could stay with and help in someway. I'm looking for full-time work to live with a family I could help. My sister lives close by and she is my Dads back up and my moms favorite daughter. I'm looking for a family that I could be a live-in caregiver and help in every way possible way when needed. I grew up in a very normal family my dad worked my mother never did work I never brought the bus to school she took us all to school in the car and cook dinner every night so when I was young I thought everybody live like that but that's not the case from what I found out so I was very lucky

I guess you can say that my first client was my grandfather. Taking care of him helped me to realize my passion in caring for the elderly. I want people to understand that getting older is natural and a part of all our lives. It's no reason to rob those advanced in age of their dignity or take advantage of them. On the contrary, they deserve our upmost care and respect.
