I became a caregiver to use my knowledge and compassion to help others. I like being a caregiver because I like to see people get better or just be there to help them get through a rough patch or assist them in their journey to heaven. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant since 2001. I have worked in acute care, sub-acute care, transitional care, ER, Med Surg, home care, vent care and long term care.

1. I was introduced to care giving because my older sister is disabled and starting from a young age I have always helped my parents take care of her and found I really enjoyed it. 2. Hello my name is Tasheena Brown. I been a caregiver for 7 years. I became a caregiver when I began taking care of my mother when she became ill of sugar diabeties , throughout my care with my mother I noticed how much of a passion I had for taking care of others. I have always been good with patience and put others needs before mines . As a caregiver I enjoy the connection you grow with the client and families that they know their family member is well taking care of when their gone. I am currently taking online classes to finish my classes to be accepted into a Registered Nursing program , but I value my experience as a caregiver because it teaches me hands on experience from each position.
