I became a caregiver more than 16yrs ago, because I believe every person deserves great care if they are in need. I am a great Caregiver in so many ways. I am the second of seven children so I guess it's just natural for me to care for others. Being older than most of my siblings I had to learn a lot and fast. By the time I was 15 years I had a weekend day care where my aunts would drop their kids off for a few hours for a cost. I learned so much during that time period such as money management, time management communication, skills and I also picked up a few hobbies during that time.

Lynette D. Basquez A little story about me.. In the year 1979 my mother experienced hemorrhaging during a miscarriage. I never felt so helpless, we lost my twin brothers and almost my momma. I knew then at the age of twelve I wanted to help others. In 1989 I entered BTS nursing in where I finally became certified nurse aide. With my children still small I decided my school would have to wait. In the year 2002 after my children had grown up married and now have Blessed me with 15 grandbabies. I entered College for the first time and found it to be very difficult but after two years I finally worked my way into the LVN program in the year 2005 when only 6 months later my Mother was diagnosed with Bladder cancer. So I dropped out of school and quit my job at the ER moved in so I could care for her. However my mother passed away just two short weeks later. Now I realize that my place is to remain a Certified Nurse Aide because I get to actually experience the hands on help for those in need. Weather it is to complete a task or just sit and listen to stories of long ago. I love my job and all of it demands. My goal at the end of each day is to make at least one person smile and I Pray the care I provide has touched the heart in a gentle and kind way. It is extremely important to me to provide compassionate assistance to all in need.
