Hello! My name is Jennifer and I enjoy bringing a big smile into your life. I started caregiving when my 94 year old grandmother moved into my house and I am so lucky to be able to enjoy her. Since i have been looking after her, I have been trained by her nurses and occupational advisors on how to assist. My biggest accomplishment was that I was able to get grandma hearing aids for the first time in her life and being able to see the enjoyment she receives from them. I am a very good listener and I will make sure that you always eat foods you enjoy, put a smile on your face, and That you get fresh air.

Im a natural caregiver who was raised by her grandmother that I love so deep. I truly enjoy engaging in conversations with anyone who would listen. I started volunteering at 16 in a community center for the elderly. Landed my first job a few months later, its had my heart since then. I'm personally proud of the fact that I have a deep and real connection to the families I have had the pleasure to care for.

What's makes a great Caregiver is someone that is compassionate, kind and loving and I am proud to say I carry those great qualities and more. I became a Caregiver in senior year of High School and from then on I fell in love with with. I found joy in helping people lives better and assisting them with everyday living activities. A personal achievement that I am proud of in my Caregiver moments has to be when I was working with a client of mines that was mute and had other physical and mental complications. He was not able to communicate and I came up with methods to get him to communicate with people.

I have skills working with Alzheimer's and dementia. Most of my training came from a skilled facility. I also have spent quite some time working and caring for veterans It takes a special kind of person to be in the particular field. I am patience, with a loving heart and work hard and dependable because all those things matter when others lives are in your hand and when people are depending on you.

What makes me a great caregiver is how I interact with others. I love helping people and making them feel less stressed about certain activities. I enjoy getting to know new people and hearing their life stories and experiences.

I'm a 35 years old mother of two adorable little girls. 8 and 5 years old. I became a caregiver because its my calling. I have been in the caregiver field for 8 years now.I love being able to help people and be there for them in there time of need. I started out helping a friend of the family when I was 14 years old. And since then been helping people with the daily activatives that they can no longer do on there own. I enjoy working with people. I like helping folks out. I am responsible. I have cared for my daughter when she was in a car accident and got paralyzed. (2 years)I have taken care of my father who had COPD, one lung and Alzheimer's (4 yrs). I've taken care of a few elderly people on a private duty basis as well. I love the older folks they have the best stories. I've also raised three great kids.

I have excellent verbal and written communication. I believe in order to take care of a person there has to be a direct line of communication, strong communication skills is the most important thing for me. I have great astute observation skills. It is my dutie to observe the client's day-to-day physical and mental health. Since doctors and nurses can't be around their patients all the time, i tend to keep a keen eye on my clients and report even the slightest changes. I have the ability to follow set rules and protocol. I understand each senior care patient has a plan of care that must be executed by myself and the clients support team. The client's health and well-being is what's most important. I also have great time management and organizational skills. The most important skill I can bring to the table is my empathy and compassion. I feel these are vital qualities, and help me and the client to have an understanding.

I am a kind person i am also a funny loving person and i really take time with my clients and i enjoy learning what my clients dislikes and likes when caring for someone love one . I have been caregiving for over 12 years, I'm a reliable person, easy to get along with and I also enjoy helping others. My first experience as a caregiver came unexpectedly when my mother in law was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. I then became her live in caregiver and that's when I knew what my calling was going to be. I have intensive hands on experience and recently enrolled in classes to take that step towards.obtaining my degree in Nursing.
