Hello, I am not very good at marketing myself, however, here goes. I am a certified CNA have had my certification since 2010, in addition, I have worked in healthcare since 2006. I am well trained and certified in the in the following: 1. Dementia 2. CPR/BLS 3. Fire Safety I participate in all ongoing trainings that are required for improvement of my skills and training. I am experienced in the following care. 1. Dementia 2. Parkinson's 3. Hospice care 4. Transferring 5. Stroke patients Just to list a few. As a care provider I have a few things that I firmly believe: 1. That it is very important to maintain our patient's dignity at all times. 2. That we should preserve our patients independence as long as they are able to maintain it. I am their strength where they are weak. 3. That we must remain respectful in our manor of treatment, speaking, communicating, and patient care. 4. That maintaining a level of communication with our patient and families are always important for care and treatment. 5. That having a plan of action or guidelines is essential to providing excellent care for your family member.

I have over 9 years experience in elder care, I am a very passionate, caring, honest, loyal and responsible person. I feel happy working with the elderly people, I take care them like my family.

What makes me a great caretaker is that I'm able to put the needs of my patients first. I'm able to take charge when needed. I'm Trustworthy and honest Also very flexible. I'm passionate about what I do. I start off at a very young age with my grandmother , she has given me the tools and the knowledge to become the great caregiver that I am today .

In 2010 after being employed by the Boeing Company for 23 years , I was laid off as a result of a workforce reduction. At that time Boeing had contracted with Wichita Area Tech College to give their employees an opportunity to explore other career options. So I took advantage of this 2 year program and went back to school to explore jobs in health care. I acquired a Certified Nurse Aide certificate in 2011 in Kansas and worked for 2 years in an Assisted Living facility. In 2012, I retired from the Boeing Company and moved to Dallas to be closer to my oldest daughter and grandson. It was here I started working as a Caregiver in senior home care. I have found I enjoy this type of care setting because I am able to give more compassionate, personable care and spend more valuable time as opposed to feeling rushed in a facility setting. I pride myself in doing the best possible job I can when caring for clients in their homes. I'm not there to just put in my time and go home, I am there to give the client the best possible care they deserve.
