I am a very outgoing, fun, and caring individual. I would treat your loved one as my own due to my grandmothers passing 4 years ago. At the time I had taken some time off of school to go and help my grandmother when her heart was only working 10%, i would give her sponge baths twice a day, change her if/when needed, give her the proper medication at the amount that the doctor prescribed, at the time she wasn't able to properly consume food (liquid diet which i would prepare all foods/liquids), i would like to include that i would read to her for 2 hours a day (her favorite author Stephen King), any little physical activity she was able to do or that the doctor would recommend. I enjoy being a caregiver because it helps me to connect with the person one on one and see where they are coming, give them companionship, and to show them that people care. My biggest achievement would be that i was in the United States Air Force which i was medically discharged 2 1/2 years later due to being diagnosed with epilepsy and seizures. You're thinking how can she take care of my loved one, well i take medication that helps me prevent them from happening.

I like to care for the elderly with respect and dignity, because they are like a mother or father to me. I tool care of my mother in law who had minor dementia and also my mother. I love working with people, have been working with the public since 1986 as a cashier. I have helped the elderly in every way I can.

I became a Care giver after finishing high school giving care to my elderly grandmother who needed help with bathing, eating, dressing and grooming. I also helped with light ahouse work and laundry as well as a companion for her. After she passed I continued to give care to elderly women. I found it very passionate to help and be a companion to these women who some of them didn't have any family or friends. I take pride in making them feel comfortable and safe in their homes as well as provide them with a friend.

I Love and honor my elders. I also Love caring for others, giving the care to full extents thats has been giving to me. I Love myself and I also Love God first and for most. I have been working with the elderly sinnce i was 14 years old, where I took care of my grandmother for three years before her passing. I understand that sometimes the eldely just need someone to listen to them, to be treated like they are still a valid member of society. I am patient, and understanding to the specific care that my residents need. It was the care that i gave my grandmother as a teenager that brought me on the path of becoming a caregiver. i am 36 i been care giving since i was 25 well actually all my life my mom died at age 3 and i was the only girl so i help take care of the boys i got a older brother who has learning disabilities who i help care for and in return i learned to have passion for the care for others its my heart and soul i love to serve others it makes me feel rewarded a since of fulfillment i guess. i am selfless as to where i always think of others and put them before myself as for this just job i feel its so good for me do to the great amount of empathy i have towards others.i have never been late and always worked when asked even if its a double i love honest that works both ways. i do however get attached easily and start to love my clients like family and i am very open with them and share everything this is good and bad because at that point i am not separating work for personal life but with this kind of work its hard. i did go to school to become a medical assistant and did graduate top of my class and with a perfect attendance but i really like one on ones not to much into the doctors offices.
