I became a caregiver when I felt compassion towards my very first patient, who happened to be a family member recovering from a stroke. Care giving gives me an inner joy of being able to assist someone who wants me around. My role as a caregiver builds me up into a better person. I have more compassion, and the realization of what life is about. This gives me the energy and drive to put a smile on the faces of those I care for and their families. At the end of every work shift, I feel satisfied at being able to make a difference in the life of another person, either by holding their hand, preparing meals for them, having a conversation or just sitting in comfortable silence. I am very proud of being a caregiver because it bonds me to strangers who eventually become extended family. That is always what I call, a personal achievement.

I have worked in the healthcare industry for about 7 years and I have all types of experience ranging from the elderly to clients with mental health or idd, I have also worked in the nursing home industry and I really rather do one on one patient care, I love my job and I do it with excellents not only for my clients but for there family as well. What attracted you to being a caregiver? I am 28 years old with no kids I take care of my grandfather and recently took in my niece and nephew I have been in this profession since 2012 it was one of my very first jobs doing home health and ever since then I've loved working with elderly and getting to know each individual personalities
