Hi i am very happy helping people to keep there lived ones in their home as long as possible where they are most comfotable i enjoy talking and listening to their stories they tell about there memories and life i enjoy caring for them i believe we owe our elders so much they have given so much to make our lives better i want to make theirs as comfortable as i can and enjoy doing it i love my job as a caregiver

I have worked in the Healthcare field for over 5 yrs now and I thoroughly enjoy being able to assist and aide in making sure elderly people and those who just are not able to care for themselves can have as much normalcy, peace of mind and comfort as possible in the comfort of their homes or where they may reside.

I love being a caretaker because it involves helping others and treating one and other kind and respectful. Taking care of loved one's is a wonderful thing to do. It also teaches people alot of things even if it's just simple things. Being kind and helping to one and other excites me and i love doing it.

I started out being a caregiver, when my grandmother was sick. Along with other family members help care for her.

At 14 my mother became I'll with the dreaded cancer. That motivated me more to do what I love, caring for others. At 18, I landed my first job in an assisted living facility and absolutely adored it! I now do home health and am looking to expand my work.

I am full of life and love to give that same feeling to others that do not have it [?] I love the stubborn ones that just "don't give" Because they don't think anyone understands or really cares!! I have been a caregiver for 6 plus years took care of bed bound, wheelchair bound seniors, also know light housekeeping, CPR and first aid and also worked in a nursing home for 2 years giving seniors the best care possible and giving you a peace of mind. I have worked in assisted living, with families and also with agencies.

Hi, My name is porsha wickware and I believe that having to take care of my grandmother while I was still trying to finish high school made me a great caregiver. I am an out going, smart, talented person who loves helping people and making sure that I make people smile with the way that I Interact with them. I have experience dealing with people with high blood pressure, dementia, Alzheimer's, and more. The thing that attracted me to being a care giver is being able to make sure that the elderly had as much help as possible. I became a caregiver in 2017 when a close friend offered me to come and work for her! I find it rewarding to be able to cater to the needs of the elderly. Caregiving came natural to me because it is the profession of my mom, being around people who need the assistance is a job I am passionate about and I enjoy learning a lot from people with more life experience than I do. I was also in the RN program in Florida. I completed 2 semesters but dropped out to become a massage therapist. I also worked as a Phlebotomist for 3 years. As an Acupuncturist I treated many different problems with adults and children. I took care of my mom who had dementia for many years until she went into a nursing home. I also took care of my brother who had dementia for a couple of years until he went into a nursing home. I lived on Oahu from 1978-1989. I moved back to Florida where I grew up and just moved to Maui 3 weeks ago. My personality traits are kindness, compassion, patience, listening and love for all people, these are traits I extend to everyone I meet. Since I was a young girl I have always wanted to help people. As I got older I began to help friends, family, co-workers. Sometimes it was just to listen to them and give support. What I have enjoyed most is how it makes me feel to be a caregiver. It always feels better to give! The people always teach me especially how to be a better person. I also enjoy making peoples lives better. I am proud of myself for being a mother, daughter, sister, friend, for the schooling I have had, for being healthy and happy, for doing what's right, for being a hard worker, for seeing the good in people, for making a difference in people's lives, for being in awe of life!
