I am a very patient and up beat person, l enjoy working with the elderly, l have done this job for 17 years. I have done hospice and have worked with disabled children. I became a caregiver due to losing a special child at the age of 8 years old who had a syndrome. I wanted to work with special children after that then l went to care for the elderly. I have worked with cancer, Parkinson, diabetic, heart, dementia, and just carecompionship. I love my job which l have been doing for 17 years. I love to cook Spanish and English meals. Caregiving to me is providing my sincerest kindness, genuine smile, soft touches, superior listening skills and life experiences to make an individual feel comforted and at ease in their place of residence. Ever since I can remember, I was always trying to help others out. I would wanna go to work with my mom (HHA), so I could be a big helper and learn as well.
