when it comes to taking care of an elderly person i do take care of them like i would my own, treat them with respect and listen to their needs. A dedicated CNA with extensive experience in basic patient care, I am eager to leverage my skills and expertise to contribute to the well being of your loved one. Ihave skills in in performing all types of personal care activities such as, dressing,bathing,toileting, feeding, moving individual to and from bed and wheelchairs, and assisting them in rehabilitative exercises. I am also able to take and document vitals signs, weights, intake and output as delegated per family protocol. In addition, I have a demonstrated ability to prepare and serve meals, assist individual with eating. Hello I have been a CAREGIVER as long as I can remember. I am the oldest of 3 girls. As a little child I loved being with my grandmother and that's where I picked up wanting to care for others. I took care of my grandmother before her passing. But before then my first job was at a nursing home facility at the age of 17. Just knowing that at such a young age I was making a DIFFERENCE in someone's life. Some people age and they're families get too busy in their own lives to check on them and make sure all is well. I'm glad to know that I can take some of that off the families and still let the client know that I'm there if they need me. I have been. Medical Assistant for 25 years working I doctors offices. I have always had that personality that want a to help someone else, so I became a caregiver about 5 years ago and love it. Both of my aunts had breast cancer a year apart I took them to chemo and to all of their appointments, they are both in remission now, so I would say that was my personal achievement was being there with them and was able to get them through the worst times of their lives.

I graduated from Pfeiffer University in May majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Coaching. I want to go to Graduate school and become a Physician Assistant and to do so, I need 5,000 clinical hours working with different patients. I like being a CNA because it is rewarding.
