I became a caregiver because I had a family member when I was a teenager that I took care of. I liked the look on their face when they realized that someone was there for them. I am proud to say that I have been a care giver for over 26 years now. I am a compassionate person who takes helping people seriously. Hello my name is Valerie some things about me is I do love my job as a caregiver I've been doing it for a few years now . What I enjoy about this type of work is fainting that relationship with my clients, being able to develop that trust and understanding with them is my favorite part of the job.what attracted me to this type of job is my grandma developed dementia a few years ago so that was one reason . But I enjoy being in the medical field and helping people and being able to make my clients smile. Hello I'm pleased to say I've been on the nursing field for quite a while.It started back in 2014 when I obtained my Medical assistant certification, and knew how passionate I was to patient care . I worked on internal medicine for a year and decided geriatrics was for me.I've obtain my CNA certification and worked with trach and ventilator patients for a year , then I explored the dementia unit and worked there for 8 months and moved to a long term care facility I worked for about two years until I was able to get into the nursing program .
