This is my 35th year as a caregiver and I believe God asked me to do as I do. I believe every single person deserves to be treated as family. One day I may need someone to take care of me and I would want the same for myself. I believe respect should be given to every person. The patients, residents, clients, I care for for are always number one. I will always do what's in their best interest. I promise always to loyal. I can promise you I do know what I'm doing and lots of others have told me that. My work shows how much I truly care. I have been noticed by families.

I have been trained to provide the proper care on bathing, transportation, medicine distribution, and ext. I feel like everyone needs a little help in life and being a mother of 3 I have realized I much enjoy being a caregiver. I enjoy being a caregiver, because I love being apart of someone's life that I can help them live out thier life happy an successful. I enjoy the stories I hear. The caring of another. I'm very proud by the end of the day, week, or month that I have achieved accomplishments of a client's needs, and goals in life. Making someone time better.

I use to work with mentally disabled and I loved taking care of other people. Helping others that can't do things themselves makes me happy. I enjoy putting smiles on other people's faces. Being part of something that is meaningful.

I received my CNA certificate after my maternal grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal breast cancer. Prior to her being placed on hospice I would watch what the nurses were doing and when small things would happen I would take over. Example her if would constantly alarm I watched and learned to reset it if the nurse was busy. After my grandmother was placed on hospice she said to me after me helping to care for her she whispered to me moments before passing "baby doll this is your calling, God has placed you here to care for others please peruse this field". And I did just that. I retained my CNA and worked in various nursing homes and always had an interest in death and dying units. I wanted to make them as comfortable and content as possible. I wanted to be there as much as I could for those who had family place them in nursing homes and never visit. I wanted to be there like family . which led me to the choice being offered to a patient that use to come into the ER routinely. Until family of that patient offered me to take care of him at home until his last days... I worked for a nursing home where we had a husband and wife in separate sections of the nursing home I worked with the husband more frequently than the wife but one morning I arrived at work and heard thru our morning meeting report that the wife had passed and they hadn't told the husband . I offered because I was very close to him . long story short family was not going to make arrangements for him to attend her funeral due to limitations he had ie him being in a wheelchair and then not having access to transportation to get him there. Short staffed at the home I offered on my day off to see to him getting to the funeral home church and grave site. It was hard I pushed him thru areas that were grassy muddy and not meant for travel in a wheel chair but I did it . I put myself in his shoes that did and did whatever it took.

As for children, I have not only cared for multiple children over the past several years through an individualized schedule, but also in a professional setting. It's not only kids that I enjoy being with, but I also enjoy working with teens, adults, and the elderly! I have counseled at an 18+ special needs camp for the past 2 years and helped with special olympics groups of all ages. I am still active in these activities throughout the year! Saying this, it is unquestionable that I have the experience to care for people of all ages. I am a certified lifeguard and certified in CPR, AED, and professional first aid training. Additionally, I am 2 years into an occupational therapy degree and have observed at several facilities as reputable as Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, so I know almost exactly what to look for in developing and declining individuals and how to work on struggling aspects of their daily life. Finding a responsible and caring babysitter is difficult and I can assure you that I am both! Let me know! I would love to help your family grow!

What makes me a great caregiver well to answer that honestly I really dont know I am patient understanding and care deeply for my clients and listen to them when ever they need someone to just listen. I have took care of the elderly since 2012 i left my job because I moved here to Benton Ky. I have took care of ones with als and cerebral palsy. I love helping others thats what i love about being a caregiver. A personal achievement I am proud of is just being able to be a friend to the ones who need me.

They say in this business you have to put up walls and boundaries. I have never figured that out nor would I want to. I think that's what makes me great at what I do. I'm a loving and kind person and I love being able to make someone's quality of life the best it can be in the later years of their lives. I find elderly both fascinating and endearing. I fall in love with their own individual spirit. My recommendations speak for themselves. You won't be disappointed. I'm definitely one of a kind in a great way!
