This is my 35th year as a caregiver and I believe God asked me to do as I do. I believe every single person deserves to be treated as family. One day I may need someone to take care of me and I would want the same for myself. I believe respect should be given to every person. The patients, residents, clients, I care for for are always number one. I will always do what's in their best interest. I promise always to loyal. I can promise you I do know what I'm doing and lots of others have told me that. My work shows how much I truly care. I have been noticed by families.

I have been trained to provide the proper care on bathing, transportation, medicine distribution, and ext. I feel like everyone needs a little help in life and being a mother of 3 I have realized I much enjoy being a caregiver. I enjoy being a caregiver, because I love being apart of someone's life that I can help them live out thier life happy an successful. I enjoy the stories I hear. The caring of another. I'm very proud by the end of the day, week, or month that I have achieved accomplishments of a client's needs, and goals in life. Making someone time better.

I enjoy working with elderly. I have been in this field most of my life and it simply comes as a second nature for me. I enjoy helping others.

I received my CNA certificate after my maternal grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal breast cancer. Prior to her being placed on hospice I would watch what the nurses were doing and when small things would happen I would take over. Example her if would constantly alarm I watched and learned to reset it if the nurse was busy. After my grandmother was placed on hospice she said to me after me helping to care for her she whispered to me moments before passing "baby doll this is your calling, God has placed you here to care for others please peruse this field". And I did just that. I retained my CNA and worked in various nursing homes and always had an interest in death and dying units. I wanted to make them as comfortable and content as possible. I wanted to be there as much as I could for those who had family place them in nursing homes and never visit. I wanted to be there like family . which led me to the choice being offered to a patient that use to come into the ER routinely. Until family of that patient offered me to take care of him at home until his last days... I worked for a nursing home where we had a husband and wife in separate sections of the nursing home I worked with the husband more frequently than the wife but one morning I arrived at work and heard thru our morning meeting report that the wife had passed and they hadn't told the husband . I offered because I was very close to him . long story short family was not going to make arrangements for him to attend her funeral due to limitations he had ie him being in a wheelchair and then not having access to transportation to get him there. Short staffed at the home I offered on my day off to see to him getting to the funeral home church and grave site. It was hard I pushed him thru areas that were grassy muddy and not meant for travel in a wheel chair but I did it . I put myself in his shoes that did and did whatever it took.

I am a loving caring person that cares about other people and making someone feel better. I like to help people and be a benefit for someone that needs help. i have a big heart and i am a hard worker. I will do everything i can to make sure that the person i am looking after is safe, comfertable, and make sure they are in good health. I will good above and beyond for to make someone happy. What makes me want to be a caregiver is it truly makes me happy to help someone and make a difference in helping someone better their life. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is having a personal relationship with the person im caring for and knowing that i am exceeding my daily duties and going above and beyond. A personal achievement i am proud of is helping someone in a positive way and having an effect on personally changing someones life for the better.

I love helping people it's one of my love languages. I think my desire to wanting to be a caregiver stated when I took care of my grandmother with cancer up until she passed away. I love caring for people and just helping with their everyday needs. I think I love it the most because I don't have any of my grandparents left so I always love getting to know all my clients and doing whatever I can to help them on the daily. It makes me feel so good knowing that I helped them even with the smallest thing that day.
