Hi I'm Cassidy! I fell in love with being a caregiver at my first job after graduating high school in 2016 working for a personal care home where I gained experience in many areas. Such as, dementia, diabetes, alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and many more. After a year and a half of working at this home, I was promoted to supervisor and was trained to be a medication administrator. To me, a great caregiver has a big heart, is compassionate, patient and understanding and I think that's what makes me great at what I do.

I love taking care of people. I was born in American Samoa, learned how to cook at an early age. Love cooking, cleaning, organizing and being around people. I love being a caregiver because it makes me happy. Helping others is very enjoyable and rewarding to me. Making a difference in someone else life is important.

I have 7 years of experience as a caregiver. I have worked with people with dementia and Alzheimers. I have showered previous clients, helped with transfers, light house keeping duties, and helped prep meals. What I like about my job is I get to help people with there needs and do something I always had enjoyed, I love getting to know people and share about their life style their likes and companionship and I think it is great to know how can we make a difference in people's life. Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. What makes me a great caregiver is that I am compassionate and empathize with my clients. I am there to help them, YES but I want them to feel that I care about them and will be there when they need me. I became a caregiver and chose this path for myself because I know what it feels like to have no one beside me and also does my grandmother and that's why I have been by her side . Its something about putting a smile on another persons face or picking them up when they aren't feeling so well, gives me a certain type of strength and confidence knowing that I can do that for a person that needs it the most. I also take my work very seriously and I am a very reliable and flexible.
