I was attracted to this job because it's very similar to what I wanted to go to school for; which was nursing. I later changed my major to speech language pathology and I love it! My personality traits that I'm naturally a caring person and have compassion for others. I love to help others. I have the ability to bring my best qualities into my work environment and use them alongside the skills I have gained training in nurse assistant and medical assistant education. What attract me in been a caregiver is my mother who is a retired nurse for over 20 yrs and my grandmother who always helping people in need at her age of 91 she still does her part in the community. In 2010 my grandfather pass away of myeloma I was his caregiver. All this and more attracted me to become a caregiver. I enjoy most about been a caregiver is an opportunity to show love, respect, and dignity to those in need. It is a deeply fulfilling experience that allows me to learn more about myself and grow as an individual. Caring for someone is a powerful and intimate relationship that can bring about a strong connection and bond. When caring for someone, it is important to show love, trust, and understanding. One of my personal achievement that I proud of is becoming an advocate of others who is need.

One of my favorite experiences being a caregiver are the families that I meet and become close with. They become family to me too. I took care of my husband who passed after 19 years of cancer, my grandparents , who both suffered from Alzheimer's. Spent numerous years working in a rest home & for private clients in their home.
