Caregiver for over 3-4 years. I have worked in healthcare field for 8 years in and out of hospital facilities as a contracted surgical tech. My main concern is giving care to the families loved ones and help ease the day. I do have expat with hospice, nursing homes, Alzheimer, dementia and many other medical conditions.

I have been a caregiver since I was young received my certification in 1996 and still have it in CNA (25yrs) and also have my RMA (11yrs) I have some training of PN I have a lot of gifts in the medical field

I think what makes me a great caregiver is I love helping people. I enjoy seniors the most because they usually have great stories. I am a mother of three adult children and a grandmother to four grandchildren that I help care for. I have taken care of my great grandfather and my mother when they were ill, towards the end of their life. I know how much it meant to them to be comfortable as they could be in the comfort of their own home. Everytime I care for someone, I always keep that in mind. I pray that if I am blessed to grow old, I hope that I am cared for the same exact way. I have taken quite a few Alzheimer's and dementia classes, for better understanding of the disease. I have worked with a few seniors dealing with this. I am more of a Caretaker/ Companion, meaning I'm there to help your loved to stay as independent in their own home as they can possibly be. I cook, do light housekeeping, laundry, errands and grocery shop, help with medication reminders, help with grooming and getting dressed. I help with pretty much anything that needs to be done.

I love and enjoy helping people, when and where they more need. Being a CNA, was the greatest decision, I have made in my life, because my dream came through; since I was little I liked to help people. I love taking care of the sick, I am a very loving and caring person, I have been a CNA for 18 years n I plan to further my nursing career I am a mother of two boys n three grandkids I love taking care of my patients they are my family, Sometimes I go and beyond ,but that's ok, I know at the end of the day I know they are taking care of and they are happy n comfortable. I have compassion, love, patience for what I do as a Certified Nurse Assistant and as a Hospice Aide. I took care of my mom and sis which made me want to be a nurse assistant for life!!
