Caregiver for over 3-4 years. I have worked in healthcare field for 8 years in and out of hospital facilities as a contracted surgical tech. My main concern is giving care to the families loved ones and help ease the day. I do have expat with hospice, nursing homes, Alzheimer, dementia and many other medical conditions.

Ive been a CNA for 20 yrs, received my license in North Carolina in 2001 and in Virginia in 2009. I believe the most important thing that makes me a great CNAs is patience and understanding. The reason why I became a CNA is I find joy in the elderly. They are knowledgeable, they make you laugh,and you can learn alot from them. I get great joy in seeing the smiles on their faces because they're pleased with me.

I have been working as a Licensed CNA over 20+ yrs , when taking care of my residence i look at them as my family member, meaning i would give them good quality care show them love and respect with dignity, what attracted me to being a caregiver i have watched my family member with dementia and my aunt needed a break because it can become overwhelming at times. Hello, I am a very compassionate person, dependable, great listener, respectful with my clients and their values, very kind, punctual, hard worker, with a great attitude. I love and enjoy helping people, when and where they more need. Being a CNA, was the greatest decision, I have made in my life, because my dream came through; since I was little I liked to help people. I gave a lot to my clients and more than anything, a handful of help, understanding, passion, love and a great smile in my face, every time when I arrive to their homes, but not only I give them, but I also receive many things back in return. I started doing home care in June 2009 as a Nurse Assistant/ PCA , I mainly did private duty cases overnight 11pm-7am and I really enjoy it. It was hard at times but i enjoy taking care of my clients , making sure they were fed, bathed, and had a good night rest. Most of my home care clients had dementia or was recovering from surgery or some sort. I started doing homecare when i was temporary taking care of my grandmother while my parents were at work , after i graduated from high school . i would have to say that was a personal achievement of mine , to get my Nurse Assistant/PCA certification after helping caring for my grandmother.

I love taking care of the sick, I am a very loving and caring person, I have been a CNA for 18 years n I plan to further my nursing career I am a mother of two boys n three grandkids I love taking care of my patients they are my family, Sometimes I go and beyond ,but that's ok, I know at the end of the day I know they are taking care of and they are happy n comfortable. I love taking care of others,I was trained as a Stephens Minister: caring,listening, hand holding, being a confidential friend, never judging, always helping if needed. My Mother, always helping others. Getting to know a person, talking,listening, and helping others. Serving others to the best of my ability. I believe you have to have a caring heart.,and alway treat others as you want to be treated.

As a highly competent caregiver companion, I bring a service- focused and hardworking attitude to this role. I maintain an efficient and organized work mentality as I assist in the care of several geriatric and chronically ill patients. I have an instinct for problem solving and work well independently and with little oversight. I am compassionate, outgoing, resourceful, and believe that trust and honesty are key when in a caregivers role. I was attracted to care giving due to my need of wanting to help people. What I enjoy the most is building a bond and being apart of the recovery process. My biggest achievement in care giving was being able to help my mom over a period of two years recover from her Ru in y Gastric bypass surgery. Prior to her surgery she had diabetes and kidney disease for 3 years and didn't think she would make it to the age of 40. After her surgery I was apart of the recovery process and seeing her healthy and free of diabetes and kidney disease has been the best experience and biggest accomplishment in my life. Therefore I want to continue and help others because its what I truly love to do.

I have compassion, love, patience for what I do as a Certified Nurse Assistant and as a Hospice Aide. I took care of my mom and sis which made me want to be a nurse assistant for life!!

Some things about me and why I became a care giver. I love to give a helping hand to someone who needs it. When I help others it teachs me new ways to view life. Being a caregiver isn't just being a helper its about being a friend and a good listener also being able to understand how others view life and what makes them smile and what makes them happy. I am a very compassionate, caring, loving, nurturing, care giver. I am very proud that I am a caregiver because I make a difference in someone's life And they do the same for me. Getting to know others brighten up my day and seeing them smile warms my heart. I am very passionate and loving and I will give my last to someone in need my family taught me to look at the bright side to life and make a difference in the world or in someone's heart and by being a caregiver.
