I became a caregiver because I love taking care of people, it gives me a pleasure to see that I can help people who can't help themselves. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is that I was able to be a caregiver for my mom who had brain cancer but passed last June due to her illness,and still worked as a c.n.a in geriatrics.

I'm great at being a caregiver due to the fact I ALWAYS treat my patient as if they're my mom or dad!! Have taken care of dementia, hospice, cancer, assisted w/ bathing, getting dressed, housekeeping, dr. appointments, & meal prepping. I can promise you, your family will be well taken care of!! I love helping people, I have a heart for caregiving, I want to make every client feel comfortable around me. I like caregiving because I can make my client feel like they can trust me while caring for them when they don't have families, help, or their family has passed away. I have six children that I basically raised by myself when my husband left us. I have been through a lot but I have always had a special love for people. I had my own daycare for 20 years. I been taking care of children since my first brother was born when I was 6. Other people's children at age 13, newborn and a 12-year-olds. I have babysat or I have been a surrogate mother to many children when they needed it. Was a Foster Mom for many years. Love people, but have a special aptitude for children, elderly and handicapped. I became a caregiver so that I could be able to take care of my mother, I like the one on one care that way I can take better care of the clients. My sisters and I took care of my mother for 14 years. I know she 's was getting the best care at home instead of being in a nursing home. I thank God she lived to be 92 years old. Hello, I'm Raphaela I've been in and out of the caregiving field roughly around 4/5 years. Growing up I've had several family members that have worked in assistance homes or nursing homes. Since a child I've always volunteered to help out at nursing homes. Wether it was bedside assistance or helping with activities and making sure they went to bed with a smile on their face. I'm currently in my senior year of college, majoring in biology. I have future plans of becoming a CNA and even more to be sure that I'll be able to continue to care and assist with the elderly. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to learn, connect and love on my clients. I still have connections with previous clients from years ago! Being that I'm such a loving and caring CG/PCA, I tend to connect with my patients as if I'm one of their own.
