Hello! I have been a caregiver for several years. I chose to be a CNA through encouragement from my aunt. She always gave so much of herself and I wanted to be like that. I feel what you give will be given to you in return. Throughout my employment I can proudly say that I have been named Caregiver of the year 2x. I learn so much from those I have taken care of. Everyone of them has had a story to tell and I try my hardest to listen.

I am a compassionate and empathetic caregiver with 8+ years experience as a CNA and currently working in veterinary medicine as well. I feel that everyone needs a friend and companion later in life, someone to help and someone to listen. I aim to be that supportive person.

I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I have always loved helping people and when I was younger my grandmother developed dementia I felt very happy to be able to help her. Hello! As you can see my name is Amy, I am of mom of two little girls and we just recently moved out here to the Bloomington area. I have been a CNA for 4 years, I personally find a lot of purpose in being a CNA. Every since I got certified this is all I have done since because I truly enjoy what I do.

I am a very selfless person, I am motivated to better the lives and improve the lives of other individuals. I am furthering my education to become a nurse but I have experience as an HHA and a Direct Support Professional. I am most proud of my completion of my Bachelors degree in Community Health. I've been a Licensed CNA for 4 in a half years. I've worked in nursing homes assisted livings hospitals and mental/substance abuse units. I'm very genuine loving and understanding when it comes to my work because i know it's hard to find that in the healthcare field nowadays, it's like everyone just does it for the money and no passion behind it. Although i like to get paid it's genuine passion that comes with me. I got into this field because of my grandmother so i proud myself on treating my patients clients and/or residents as such. I'm currently in nursing school, well doing my prerequisites for nursing school at Ivy Tech Community College I'm super proud and excited about that because going back for my R.N has been a goal of mine since i became a CNA back in 2019. Im just proud that I'm actually and finally in the process of making that happen! Dominating and changing the healthcare industry is my end game.
