I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I have always loved helping people and when I was younger my grandmother developed dementia I felt very happy to be able to help her. I am proud to be able to put a smile on peoples faces even on the hard days I'm proud of the work I do.

Patience : especially when dealing with the elderly, it is essential for a caregiver to be patient because some of the consumers might not know what they are doing and some needed more time to understand informations .
