I have 34 years of Emergency Medical and patient care experience. I also have experience as a Director of a private Home Health Care Division where I ensured client schedules and home care needs were efficiently met. I am outgoing, dependable, caring and I thoroughly enjoy meeting new clients that I am able to help assist with their daily needs.

Through home visits with various agencies, live-in care, and working with an Assisted Living Center my combined services to the elderly have helped me thrive in the industry of caring. In the realm of younger folks, I drove a school bus for years and taught home schooled children including my own. I taught a class on self-empowerment based on the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series too. The classes I taught were an eye-opener and perhaps opened the door to a new way of viewing life. The life experiences I've had with Seniors who have become family to me and ultimately my friends has given me much more than I could have possibly conceived of giving to them! I found that with kids, being present and seeing the beautiful gifts they have inside always brought those gifts out with the acknowledgement. The services I've provided are most assuredly a soul's calling! Senior care and working with younger folks has been a perfect fit with my desire to make a difference with others, and the kind of career I totally enjoy! I have a knack for understanding human nature and the needs of the heart and naturally, I learned this through my own life experiences. We all are truly one when it comes to matters of the heart and what this life means! Applying the knowledge of our oneness is what the care of others is all about. I'm seeing my own reflection in the hearts of those that I serve in this type of work. From that seeing, I give the best of who I am to others! Importantlly too is the fact that I am CPR and First Aid Certified and have over 20 years experience caring for Seniors.

I'm a kind person that's blessed with patience and compassion for giving care to those in need. I was introduced to caregiving when I was hired to assist my mom with an amputee patient. I later helped take care of my grandparents whom were both ill at the same time which inspired me to start being a full time caregiver. I really enjoy being a caregiver a job that your able to make a difference in a clients everyday living. a relationship you just cant explain with your client or patient depends on level of care. I became a can in 1991 lookin for a different career path then . worked in nursing rehabilitation home for 3 years learned so much . I did work in for agencies for in home visits as well for the next 7 years. I continued my education in Georgia to become a cma certified medical assistant. I have recently taken a can course at Cumberland health center . recertified can cpr/ first aid .

As a caregiver I have experience in med reminders, bathing, dressing, transferring, speech & memory exercise, doctor visits, light cleaning, cooking, and running errands. I understand and respect the elderly as they have loss of memory and physical difficulties. I was a medical assistant with the same doctor for over 12 years and I have experience in vitals, bandaging wounds, and caring for ill patients. I am a volunteer and work for the school system and had my national background/fingerprints completed. I cared for my mother for many years who was a heart patient and diabetic. .

I have worked in the health field for most of my adult life. I worked with seniors and I love it. I relate to them and they relate to me. My last job was a sales job, but most of our clientele were seniors. They are so interesting to me. They always have great stories to tell and most have done so many wonderful things in their lives. I think God put me in this world to care for seniors!

Hello my name is Gretchen and I am a mother to three boys. I have been in the elderly care and childcare profession for over 25 years. I am currently attending Georgia Highlands College for nursing. This January was four years since I have been going to their school. I finally am able to apply for the nursing program this fall. I have completed all my core classes for my bachelors, so when I do get my degree in Associates in Science of Nursing I can bridge to the BSN program quickly. I am CNA certified. I have my first aid and/CPR AED BLS certification and also got my TB test complete and it came back fine. I also got a back round check as well. I am trying to find a job or a website that offers CNA's that are not linked to agencies. I am also more interested in doing in home care/private care or preferably at Wellstar. I have wonderful references from the families and jobs that I have worked for over the last 25 years. I will say I have taken time off these past four years since I had became a mother again and since I have been attending school these past four years.I live in the Dallas/Acworth area off of Cedarcrest. I am patient, loyal, compassionate, trustworthy & a dependable person who has always loved to care for the elderly, children or anyone who is in need of care. I am hoping to find a private family where the pay is $25 an hour. There is a little room for negotiating on my pay if the job is right for me and my family. But, also making sure I am a great fit for you and your family too!
