Hi my name is Sandra Johnson i been a caregiver for 23 years this is what I love to do. I have experience working with all types of people not just elderly.I also have experience working with hospice patients.Yes i have learn so much over the years as working as a caregiver.I am a very patience when working with my residents or anybody i come in contact with.

I have 34 years of Emergency Medical and patient care experience. I also have experience as a Director of a private Home Health Care Division where I ensured client schedules and home care needs were efficiently met. I am outgoing, dependable, caring and I thoroughly enjoy meeting new clients that I am able to help assist with their daily needs.

Caring for and uplifting the spirits of others is my true passion in life. Nothing makes me happier than being able to bring joy to someone else's life.

Through home visits with various agencies, live-in care, and working with an Assisted Living Center my combined services to the elderly have helped me thrive in the industry of caring. In the realm of younger folks, I drove a school bus for years and taught home schooled children including my own. I taught a class on self-empowerment based on the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series too. The classes I taught were an eye-opener and perhaps opened the door to a new way of viewing life. The life experiences I've had with Seniors who have become family to me and ultimately my friends has given me much more than I could have possibly conceived of giving to them! I found that with kids, being present and seeing the beautiful gifts they have inside always brought those gifts out with the acknowledgement. The services I've provided are most assuredly a soul's calling! Senior care and working with younger folks has been a perfect fit with my desire to make a difference with others, and the kind of career I totally enjoy! I have a knack for understanding human nature and the needs of the heart and naturally, I learned this through my own life experiences. We all are truly one when it comes to matters of the heart and what this life means! Applying the knowledge of our oneness is what the care of others is all about. I'm seeing my own reflection in the hearts of those that I serve in this type of work. From that seeing, I give the best of who I am to others! Importantlly too is the fact that I am CPR and First Aid Certified and have over 20 years experience caring for Seniors.

I appreciate being given the opportunity to contribute to people's quality of life whenever possible. It is always my goal to treat others as I would want to be treated. I am dependable, honest, highly organized and goal-oriented. I have been involved with healthcare systems for over 20 years. I have also worked in caring for the elderly and with individuals who face mental health challenges. I have seen quality care and I have also seen situations where gaps exist and empathy is missing. The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for you being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my mother to be treated if she needed care. Empathy and compassion. Working with people in a home care setting, it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion caregivers will let the person they are caring for know that they care about the person and want to do what they can to help them.

I really enjoy being a caregiver a job that your able to make a difference in a clients everyday living. a relationship you just cant explain with your client or patient depends on level of care. I became a can in 1991 lookin for a different career path then . worked in nursing rehabilitation home for 3 years learned so much . I did work in for agencies for in home visits as well for the next 7 years. I continued my education in Georgia to become a cma certified medical assistant. I have recently taken a can course at Cumberland health center . recertified can cpr/ first aid .
