I have 18 years of experience as a caregiver. From Home Health, to Hospice to Assistant Living Facilities to Rehabilitation Centers back to Home Health I've had clients in all aspects. I have vast experience with clients whom have mild to aggressive Dementia/Alzheimer's. What I love about being a caregiver is that I'm able perform necessary tasks, easing burdens and visibly improving the well-being and independence of those I help, providing a strong sense of accomplishment. First and foremost, I am the mother of a one year old daughter. I love cooking, doing hair, and playing trivia games. I've been helping elderly people since I was 12. My grandmother inspired me, as I would go with her to a few houses around the neighborhood and help out the older people in our community. I then ended up taking care of my grandmother. The thing I enjoy the most is them knowing someone cares. I enjoy listening to them and assisting whenever I can. I've learned so much working with different people. Working as a caregiver has been apart of me since 2014. I get the job done, do a great job at what I do and don't mind getting the job done. I became a caregiver because I took care of my great grandmother until she passes at the age of 94 years old. Right then I knew that this was my field. I took in my grandmother in which she is 75 years old and still living with me to help better my career. I like the fact that not only your love ones but those people depend on you as well as I make them happy. A personal achievement that I am proud of is finishing Registered Medical Assisting school now in school for RN as well as investing in a home care agency.
