I have been a caretaker most of my adult life. I took care of my mother for several years while she was ill with Lupus and worked in several nursing homes, assisted living and independent living facilities. I understand the worry of having someone to assist and keep your love one company and ensuring that they are well "looked" after while you are away. I have been a certified nurse's assistant and activty director for both nursing homes and assisted living facilities and I understand the importance of keeping people activite and happy. Taking care of elderly or sick people is my passion. I cook very well, sew, do arts and crafts and can lead low to high elements of exercise. I know professional techniques to get my clients engaged or just make them laugh. I assist with bathing, light housekeeping and of course by this message you can tell I love to talk; and if your loved-one is a religious person, I don't mind reading scriptures or praying either. I enjoy being a caregiven and I genuinely care about my clients and their family. I just recently retired from Job Corps after working there 20+ years taking care of at risk youth in a residential setting. After retirement, I decided to go back to working with Seniors as an Activity Director and care taker.

I became a part-time caregiver years ago when we discovered my dad had dementia in the 90s. I have always been a caregiver in my family . My background is in finance. Kids got to college and I decided I'd do what was in my heart! Love being a companion and helpful Guide when I'm needed in a shopping, cooking, housekeeping and overall balancing act for someone who just needs some assistance.

Home health to me is so much more than just a job. Its the ability to help people, lighten their families stress, new friendships, and to bring a little joy to them. I got started helping my G. Aunt, who was a home nurse, when I was younger with our own family ailments. My uncle an Gma both had a long fight with cancer; My father had multiple sclerosis; my mom a diabetic/work aholic with heart issues; and I also learned all about dementia an Alzheimer's first hand from caring for my G. Gma. Understanding what the patient is actually going through is essential, but Understanding the hardships the family goes through caring for a loved one is a important key in there loved ones care. Number one rule an my most important one is I always care for a client as if I were caring for my own family. I treat clients and patients as I wish to be treated, honesty, patience, and respect. After graduating high school I worked for hospice care for 2 years before taking a much needed break, (it hurt to much when it was there time to move on). Almost 6 years ago I went back to the same company but chose home health care instead . I worked with them 3 years as a special attendant. The rules became a headache to keep up with their contestant changing so I decided to go elsewhere. My current employer I have been with for almost 3 years. I am a hard worker and I learn fast. I have experience with most medical equipment including: hoyer lift -auto/manual, catheters/cholostomy bags, blood pressure cuffs/pulse ox/thermometers, oxygen machine and portable oxygen bottles, walkers and wheelchairs/electric scooters , bed alarms and hospital beds, etc. I do document visits with clients so families will be able to refer to book for any questions or concerns they may have about any shift, past or current.

I am a hard worker. I am dedicated and I thrive to ensure my patients are taken care of well. I ensure that I am professional and show respect and compassion at all times. I have always provided care to the geriatric community. This is my passion.

After working 6 years as a Physical Therapy Assistant,decided to move to Texas.After working differents jobs,I started feeling unhappy.Decided to start working as a caregiver to be able to help others. I am a person that is very caring,empathetic,hardworking and reliable.I also love and enjoy helping others.

I have been in the home health and health field for 20 years now I'm a CNA at this time. I also in college as well to further my career. I love working with all types of people this is my passion.

I know it sounds as if I'm just saying what I'm about to say bc naturally it's just what people say lol, but I just really feel like helping people with everyday life situations is my true calling, It doesn't matter the age, the reason as to why they may need the help, nor the disability someone may have, I would love nothing more then to be the reason you or your loved one smiled today I would love to be the shoulder you used to lean on in time of need, I would love to be the first person that comes to mind when or if you ever need someone you can depend on and trust with yourself or your loved ones.

I have 2 boys ages 9 and 19. I have a 10-month-old grandbaby. I like the outdoors, beach, sports, cooking, reading, camping, watching sci-fi movies with the boys, and road trips. I enjoy taking long walks with my boys and pup Rocco. I enjoy theme parks and walking the beach. My favorite food is enchiladas. I enjoy learning new food recipes and gardening.

I'm great at what I do because I'm extremely patient and have a sense of humor. I understand the importance of taking my time and taking care of people as if they were my own family. I enjoy helping others and can only hope that when it's my time, some one cares for me the way that I have cared for my patients in the past.
