Hello,I've been in the home health business for 25yrs. I'm comfortable and familiar with every aspect of care giving . I've never met a stranger a day in my life,I can get along with anyone. I'm a quick study and welcome learning something new everyday.

I genuinely love being able to take care of people and especially the elderly. I have always been very passionate about being there for the elderly and taking care of them as if they're my own grandparents. I have overcome a lot of fear I had with being around new people and new surroundings, and working with the elderly has taught me a lot of life skills, and most importantly being patient. I am a very caring and outgoing person with an amazing personality.

I enjoy working with people and enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. It is essential that a great caregiver (Myself) feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, a caregiver will let the person know that they care about them. For instance, they will try and do what they can to help - not because they have to, but because they want to.

I believe what makes me a good caregiver. Is I have alot of patience, hard working, caring and down to earth. I decided to become a caregiver because I love helping others in need. I treat my clients as if they were apart of my family, which is with care and respect. Making my client laugh is my main goal. Laughter is good for the heart. It warmed my heart when a few clients I use to work with told me that they loved me for taking such good care of them. That reassured me that I achieved my goal taking care of them the best I can.

I love to talk to people and learn things about who they are as a person and hear their stories and i love taking care and helping in anyway that i am needed..I'm a great care giver been a single mom to 3 kids and 1 whom has Autism Disability..Im a nurturing, caring, big heart, I love working with the elderly..I always wanted to be a Nurse since I was 5 yrs old and due to life obstacles was unable to fulfill my dream of being a Nurse and now I am living my dream through my daughter whom is now a Nurse..My personal achievement would be raising my 3 beautiful wonderful kids whom i am so very proud of whom my daughter Morgan is a LVN and works for Scott and White and my son whom is an Entrepreneur and owns his own business my 16 yr old baby boy whom still lives at home with me whom has Autism who one day plans to go to college at Texas A&M University so he can be a Veterinarian..All un all I just love helping people cause i do care

Im a very caring and empathic person who loves to take care of others. I've been in this line of work for 10 plus years. Im CPR certified. Im skilled in colostomy care as well as catheter care. I love learning new things and meeting new people. No challenge is to big to work through. I love to keep a poative mindset. Hello, Thank you for reading my profile. I have been in the North Austin/Round Rock area for 37 years. I am a Bookkeeper and Notary Signing Agent and I am background checked yearly for my business. My business is slow right now so when thinking of what I would like to do being a help or companion to others came to mind first. My mother lived with Alzheimers for near 13 years, one of my close friends is legally blind. I know I am patient and understanding. Whether it is helping around the house or yard, reading a book, or friendship and conversation I am willing and able. Please note***I cannot be vaccinated due to my medical history. I am a mother of 2 toddlers and I feel that the elderly need just as much help, love, and care as a toddler. I can dress, change, cook, clean, bathe. I know how to tell whether the water in bathtub is too hot or too cold for someone.(check with either wrist or elbow) I know how to give insulin to diabetic patients.(My grandmother was insulin dependent and she taught me to shake up insulin, draw it up in the syringe, and to give the shot in the belly, or back underside of the arm.) I know how to deal with patients who have incontinence.(I have incontinence due to an overactive bladder, my mom had incontinence, my grandmother had incontinence.) I know how to deal with cancer patients. (My mother had breast cancer, and died of uterine cancer and was on hospice. My grandmother had breast cancer, colon cancer that metastasized to the lungs and died of brain cancer) My grandmother had four different types of cancer throughout her life, had myasthenia gravis(a form of muscular dystrophy), glaucoma, high blood pressure, manic depression, OCD, anxiety, diabetes(insulin dependent), and was a nurse. My mother was a medical assistant and medical administrative assistant, my aunt is a nurse, and when I was a teenager my mother still had all of her medical terminology dictionaries which I studied because I want to be an ultrasound technician and massage therapist. I want this job to get some healthcare jobs under my belt before going into what I want to be because it will look better on me having awesome work ethics which everyone knows work ethics begins within the home. I am very compassionate, kind hearted, an empath, have sympathy for everything and everyone around me, have a very big heart, and want to give back to those who deserve it which I think the people who deserve it the most is our veterans and the elderly.

A little about me... I've been a certified nurses aide for over 20 years. I've worked in nursing homes, private sitting and I've worked in Hospice for the past 10 years. I love what I do. Since i started working as a CNA, I've gone to school to do other things, but I keep coming back as a CNA, so I feel this is my passion. My children are grown and I have 3 amazing and beautiful grand children, and another on the way. That's a little about me....
