Hello,I've been in the home health business for 25yrs. I'm comfortable and familiar with every aspect of care giving . I've never met a stranger a day in my life,I can get along with anyone. I'm a quick study and welcome learning something new everyday.

28 year old with 3 years of CNA experience working in home, hospice and in facilities.

I believe what makes me a good caregiver. Is I have alot of patience, hard working, caring and down to earth. I decided to become a caregiver because I love helping others in need. I treat my clients as if they were apart of my family, which is with care and respect. Making my client laugh is my main goal. Laughter is good for the heart. It warmed my heart when a few clients I use to work with told me that they loved me for taking such good care of them. That reassured me that I achieved my goal taking care of them the best I can.

A little about me... I've been a certified nurses aide for over 20 years. I've worked in nursing homes, private sitting and I've worked in Hospice for the past 10 years. I love what I do. Since i started working as a CNA, I've gone to school to do other things, but I keep coming back as a CNA, so I feel this is my passion. My children are grown and I have 3 amazing and beautiful grand children, and another on the way. That's a little about me....

I am a very compassionate, warm hearted person ,easy to get along with. I love caring for people in need.

I am caring, empathetic, and quick to learn. I have been around all ages and have seen & experienced many different disabilities or health conditions. I tend to be a fixer. I know majority of the patients are probably going to be terminal but personally, I believe everyone in life is considered terminal. I look at things as if we aren't going to get out alive, so let's 1. Meet the necessary needs for each patient. 2. Let them enjoy the life they have left here with the people they love & by doing the things they love. I think for the most part when you have a heart that's keen to the caregiving industry, the most enjoyable thing is getting to go home with a fulfilling, "I did good for someone who truthfully needed it" feeling. But most of all, there's no story like an old story. I love to listen to them, to take in as much as I can but making sure I still fulfill my professional expectations while doing so. My heart is kind and ready to help or do everything in my power to keep these patients happy. Being that I am only 24, I don't have a whole lot of personal achievements that I'm beyond ecstatic to share just yet. But I think in this moment, answering this question, my most proud achievement so far is overcoming the life that I chose for myself. Overcoming the toxic family, overcoming my own personal self doubts or self worth. To feel like enough is enough some days & to know I am worthy of this life, to know God has put me here to do his work so He can sit back and watch is an overwhelming, gracious humbleness. I was a volunteer fire fighter and first responder for 5 years on lake Travis in my time I learned alot of skills suck as water rescue, hazmat training, brush truck training and fighting fires , I have my CPR and first Aid. I have been a CNA/ med aid for 25 years I love taking care of people I have worked in many types of settings such as Hospital, Home health and nursing homes along with lock down units

I am an upbeat caregiver. I am a problem-solver. I am organized and very caring. I love to help the elderly. And I have a utmost respect for elderly, I will go above and beyond to be sure they are well taken care of. Being a caregiver is very rewarding to care for another so that they can feel a bit more independent, in the comfort of their own home.

The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I refuse to treat them like a "client" I treat them as family no matter what the circumstances are . Letting them know that its okay to ask for help without hesitation is a huge goal of mine
