I have been a Medical Assistant for 28 years, for 18 of those years I worked in 2 different Urology offices, 5 working in an ENT and Allergy office. Being a single mother of two I did what I had to to raise my girls. Managing a restaurant was hard work and long hours. I didn't start doing what I wanted to until after they had left home. I've always felt a need to help others, even when I couldn't help myself . I'm compassionate , caring, patient, empathetic, and understanding of how certain diseases affect the patient. Not all stroke victims, Alzheimer's or disabled patients are the same. I work with people based on their personality and their specific needs. Hello my name is Yasmiri Rosario I am currently a 3rd year Nursing Student at Hampton University and I am currently doing my 3rd clinical rotation. I love caring for people especially the elderly and the very young. I have experience caring for the elderly as I take care of my grandma occasionally. She has diabetes and Alzheimer's so I have experience in caring with people with those disorders. I also gained a lot of experience through my clinical rotations. My first clinical rotation was on a cancer floor and my second on adult medicine so I saw a little bit of everything on that floor. I love keeping them involved in their care and trying to make them happy and comfortable. I love the thanks that I get caring for people. I care for people as if they were my family because I know I would want the same for my grandma, mom or any family member of mine. Hopefully doing this will help my gain more knowledge and experience and help me in my career.
