I am a hard working, loving and caring person. I love helping old people and I do my job from my heart. I am a happy person and very clean. I want to keep them healthy and happy so they will live longer. I do everything to make them feel all the care and the love they'll need with respect, just like my own family.
I found my way to caregiving 11 years ago and instantly fell in love with it. Whether providing assistance with everyday tasks like eating, bathing, tidying up, or running errands, cooking a homemade meal, or just sitting and visiting with my client, I find joy in every aspect of caring for others and have made it my career. Currently, I work in a Portland-area hospital as a Patient Safety Technician, and am a future nursing student. I am excited to provide one-on-one care for you or your loved ones. Please message me if you'd like to discuss your care needs!

Part of my overall caregiving experience includes: Handicapped care, dementia care & memory challenged clients. Medication assistance & reminders and helping with all sorts of mobility needs. I am also individually focused on monitoring clients needs, and/or changes, along with companionship. I can provide personal transportation and assistance to activities and appointments, including doctor appointments, as well as pre & post-op surgery care. I offer experienced caregiving in all aspects of life and I truly enjoy working alongside families and my clients for all the different reasons care becomes needed. I love to laugh and also help my clients laugh, smile and enjoy their lives, no matter what phase of life they may be in. Making others comfortable and at ease with every person and their families are of utmost importance to me, as each are very unique and special. I am organized, detail oriented, a multi-tasker, prompt, trustworthy, creative, dependable and also a non smoker. My goals will always be, seeing those I care for and their families quality of life improved, stress relieved and working with individuals and their family's to make that happen. Thank you for considering me, Blessings, Lysa
My patience, positive attitude and communication skills allow me to interact well with both clients and their families. I am reliable, honest, adaptive and caring. I have a very diverse range of experience as a caregiver over the years. I can confidently say my client satisfaction rate has been exceptional. In highschool as my classmates were involved in sports and the latest trends , I enjoyed volunteering at a local retirement home. In my early adulthood I took care of my grandmother and after she passed away I naturally transitioned into caregiving as a career. Changing someone's life in a positive way, bringing comfort and support during difficult times is something that I am proud to say comes natural to me.
I've always wanted to be in the health care field since I was a child. Being a caregiver for 21years has been a very rewarding line of work. I enjoy helping people and am very compassionate to those who can no longer care for themselves. A gentleman I worked with would never sleep in his room for some reason so a couple of us transformed his room. We painted it into a planetarium and he has slept in his room ever since.-- felt great to make him happy and comfortable, it was a great achievement for me because no one else could get him to rest in his room. The joy of making others happy lets me know im doing my job to the best of my ability. I do have a provider number with the state as a PSW and I'm First Aid CPR Certified.

Hello, I'm Laura. I'm very outgoing and relate well to just about anyone. I have excellent communication skills. I take my job seriously, am reliable, on time and go above and beyond the call of duty. I was asked to care for a friend's aging mom years ago and discovered I REALLY enjoyed it. I'm just naturally a caregiver, so taking on this role comes very easily for me. I also have three teenagers (17 year old twins and a 19 year old in college). I still "take care" of them, although they are pretty independent at this stage of their lives. I have experience with a wide variety of clientele. I have a lot of experience with dementia, however. I enjoy learning and take direction well, so I'm not afraid to walk into a novel situation. I'm blessed with a lot of patience. I've had someone ask me why I'm a caregiver because I have a Masters in Social Work. The truth is because I really enjoy it. I like to be hands on and in the trenches, as they say.
I come with a lot of patience and understanding. Over the years with a lot of training through jobs , taking care of a love one and my own research on disabilities of clients to better understand their needs and circumstances. I put myself in their situation to be more efficient and more compassionate toward each client(s).
